    She gained my respect immediately when she mentioned her fashion business. She comes from a background of privilege and resources, and she used them well

    April is such a nice person u can tell she is genuinely kind and honest. She got treated a bit harsh but it’s not their fault she was born into money and she doesn’t have to feel guilt for being well off and they shouldn’t be so jelous of her. Everyone is delt different cards yes, but u can choose ur own destiny and what ur life turns out like if I really want to be successful u can be it just takes a lot of hard work but not impossible

      So poor people don't work hard? Not everyone can get a loan from dad to start their own business.

    The Council house is clean and well presented. I was raised in a Council house,in Liverpool ,which was kept the same way. It's a lie that people, who live in them, live as dirty peasants . ( some do, but people are different wherever we are raised) April's a lovely girl and this family are the same. Welcoming and kind. God bless Alan and his family. Life can be very cruel

    Loved this episode ❤ what a sweet young lady. Even tho she has money she isn't stuck up or rude. Also the couple was so kind I wish them the absolute best especially with the fathers health. ❤🙏

    . It's one thing to purchase a swimming pool and hot tub on a budget but the real expense comes in maintaining them but that's the pragmatist in me . I found the the dad refreshingly fun upbeat and resourceful despite his health circumstances which made the house feel warm and welcoming !

      Those could have been bought in better times. But also more practical than a holiday. Both are things people buy, then find they don’t use and want to get rid of them. It’s good someone wants them and make use out of them. They were really calm and pleasant even with all the health issues. I suppose they know what is really important. He wasn’t in hospital at the moment. He has the use of everything. Mobility, speech…

    I felt so bad for April about the cost of her trainers and the fathers reaction...she is well mannered and kind...she is definitely not a brat ...might be rich but that doesnt make her rude or bad...the fact that she has her own business says even more about her...she paid the money back to her dad. Must be honest ...some times the narrator's comments are not so kind ....

    • @kristinesharp6286
      @kristinesharp6286 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes the narration annoying but I don’t think the participants were annoying. The lot of them all seemed like lovely people. At the end of the day everyone has a place to sleep, things to do, something they like to eat and his health at the moment he had speech and mobility.

    25:32 The wife's response on how her husband will never ever get better is the wrong approach. You have to have some optimism that things Will and can get better . Otherwise your life will just go downhill.

      But sometimes they don't. Some people will never get better. Does not mean you can still live your best life, but health wise there is no getting better. Its better to face the truth.

      You know they are on benefits for medical reasons. She can’t be on a show all cheery about how they hope he will get better. The benefits are new to the situation. The only reason she quit her job. The reason he isn’t working. It’s because of the strokes and whatever related. One or both would be in work mode if there was a chance of recovery. I think the air fryer perfect. You don’t leave something in the oven you are over them and it’s quick. Perfect for someone with health issue to do. Medical is something money won’t fix. A good lesson all around. I really worry over these families and Covid. It’s looming.

  • @kristinesharp6286

    I’m not sure what the point is? To make her feel bad over something she has no control over. To make the family feel bad someone else has too many trees? And they all seem lovely. Producers seem to bent on making some lovely people feel bad for our entertainment?

    Lovely young girl and the host family are very sweet, they could take a leaf out of aprils book and look at starting up a small business from home, may be selling small items from charity shops or seeing that he was a childrens entertaineer starting an agency of entertainers and catereers for childrens parties he could run it from home just off his computer it could just bring in a little more money for them to help the family.

    I didn't like this episode, they were talking with an 18 years old, I'm sure they wouldn't treat some other people in the series like that, it was disgusting to watch a couple of grown passive aggressive adults, specially when the guy threw stuff from above her, rude! They acted like 18 years old and the girl over shared, hope she learned that lesson, but they were disgraceful, and in Christmas which is worse! What do people imagine? Do the math in your brain, there's obviously people that has so many other things than you, haven't you seen kim Kardashian? Good Lord ... Im still watching though 😅

      And they looked like having a better life than the couple of 18 years old in another episode, and they weren't that rude, gosh the got me mad, thank god you at least have a house, a pool, a backyard, a hot tub, one and a half computers, and healthy children! 😡🤬

      They professed to being savvy about bargain hunting and the son looks like he may be old enough to get a job after school like babysitting or maybe it was a Christmas gift from his grandparents . You never know the whole story . Furthermore ,being poor isn't about depriving yourself of all tchotchkes as much as daily living like food insecurity, housing, bills ,healthcare safety and educational opportunities . .
