I don't like the blue and orange... but the grey is perfection! Key thing what got me sold is flat crystal, solid movement, lume block like on pelages 39, it's slim and under the radar (nothing is shiny/flashy). That's my watch!
It's not just you. I recently purchased a Breitling Aerospace and I also think the titanium case and bracelet feel sticky on my wrist. The material must be just a bit rougher than stainless on a very fine level, that makes it cling to the skin.
The dial is not boring its rather different and it stands out especially at night time! CW hit it in the park with this one, they will sell very well! The monochrome one looks wicked too!
Great video. Surprised the change of 7 inches to 18cm, someone's wrist grew 👀 I always like to imagine cross shopping and the obvious comparison, for me, would be the Tudor BB58 Blue and Seiko SPB451. I find this watch is a good middle ground between both.
Saturation diving is not done while in a vessel. Divers will live in a bell during their hitch but the actual diving work is done with a diving suit on using exotic gases.

You summed up what I’ve been trying to put my finger on with the lumiere for the last month. Good, but not interesting. The Twelve & Bel Canto both good and both interesting. I applaud CW for progressing to the point of making a killer $2,500 watch, but ultimately not sure this piece moves the company along as did The Twelve and Bel Canto.
Great video. I also like a lot about this watch but don’t feel an urge to add it to my collection. My Seiko SPB297 (the blue glacier dial) owns the spot that this watch wants to take. Your video on that Seiko is a key reason I have it, by the way. 😅

Mostly agree. I've owned two CWs and liked them both. Size of C60 is spot-on. The Selitta COSC is great as is the price, no date window, microadjust, and the QR bracelet. I'm not a fan of textured or fume dials, polished links, titanium bracelets, escape valves, or lume. Yeah, lume is a party trick for people who carry little blacklights in their pockets. At this price, does it surpass a good used Tudor Black Bay 58 with a SteelReef easylink? Not even close.
Absolutely. I have had the Twelve myself (but returned it since it was too large for my wrist) and the quality was so good! You get ALOT of bang for your buck with the Twelve.
I think the case is perfect. The proportions are great. Materials are good. The movement is good and maintainable. But there's something about the overall dial/indicies which bugs me. The full lume globalight blocks look kind of cheap and plasticky to me at first glance. Also would've appreciated the dial being full black rather than grey if they wanted to to go full tool watch. I hope they use this case on other variants. With some slight changes I'd be all over this because I can't afford a Pelagos
'The full lume globalight blocks look kind of cheap and plasticky to me...' 100% agree fan of CW and own a trident, but I think this is a step backwards in design
I’m with you. I would have been ok with them if the hands and twelve marker weren’t skeletonized. Makes them look cartoonish, like a kids watch. I’m admittedly never much a fan of fume dials so that’s a miss for me too.

@YoureTerrific do you feel the fujitsubo that you reviewed recently as sticky as the lumiere? I ask cause fujitsubo had a duratect coating applied. I have the same issue with titanium feeling sticky when it's hot outside...
great commentary. I like these things, but do I really need a seventh Christopher Ward watch? Hmmm. Time will tell what I think of those somewhat cartoonish looking lumed hands and markers. Great for dark places, provided you have been out in the daylight long enough beforehand to get the lume charged up. Like you I am not a big fan of fume dials, but I agree the faces would be much less legible without the visual contrast of the hands against the darker outer edges.
Great video man! How do you compare this to the Formex Reef tho? which do you prefer personally? Perhaps a Christopher Ward vs Formex video could be a good idea? hehe
I like those new blocky markers too. Did you see the new Sinn 903 with the 'Tiffany' blue dial also has dimensional markers using the same material. I like the Lumiere but wonder if they didn't over do it a bit. Can't stand the fume dials. Blechhh. Oh yeah, Sinn also dropped the date from that version of the 903. What??
I LOVE the chunky lume and I hope all the companies that currently put lume in white gold pots on their sports watches switch to chunky lume. An Explorer with chunky lume would be the business (for me).
As someone who has owned both, I’m curious how you think this watch compares directly with the Tudor Pelagos. It’s obviously thinner, which is a plus, but I would assume some differences in quality that would make the Tudor stand out. Like I assume the CW bracelet is just pinned instead of screwed? I am also kind of curious how the Titanium will hold up. I would say a week isn’t long enough but I managed to put a pretty massive scratch in the clasp of my Pelagos on its second day. Meanwhile I wear a titanium Citizen that is apparently coated in adamantium, because I beat the shit out of it and it looks pretty much brand new.
Comparing to the LHD since I've never owned the Pelaogs 39... The only noticeable quality advantage the Tudor has is the clasp/clasp adjustment system. The Pelagos also has a more interesting dial for me. Then the Tudor has a longer power reserve and a date (if you want that). The CW is more comfortable, lighter with smoother bracelet links. And considering the size difference too, is the LHD worth $2.5k more? Maybe not. I don't care that it's from "the Rolex family". That doesn't mean much to me but I understand that it's important to others.
I don’t like grade 2 Ti unless it has a scratch resistant coating. They should have put one on. I had a CW Elite 1000 for a while, scratched like crazy.
Ahhh, I too find grade 2 titanium to be sticky. Also, it holds onto oils from my fingers. I have a pelagos 39 and the bracelet just seems grimy all the time and it’s much more difficult to wipe clean than steel. The case isn’t as bad but it’s still annoying.
I would love to know why Omega persist with their non functional HEV when it's so polarising and must cost them sales. I think this is a great option for a modern dive watch and there is enough to make it stand out at a decent price
Just because you would never use it does not make it “non functional”. Seamasters have been a great selling watch for Omega for years. Maybe they just know more than you.

I also find grade 2 titanium sticky but GS titanium grade 5 is fine .
I would buy it , I love the design but I usually wear 42 and up , my wrist is 7.25”
looks really cool
The markers and hands certainly look like plastic in the video. Do they definitely look like ceramic in person?
Yes, why?
My first and only "good" watch with a Swiss movement is a C60 Trident from 9 years ago
Ti = light & good
Gold = heavy & good
Ahhh, I too find grade 2 titanium to be sticky. Also, it holds onto oils from my fingers. I have a pelagos 39 and the bracelet just seems grimy all the time and it’s much more difficult to wipe clean than steel. The case isn’t as bad but it’s still annoying.

Come for the watches and stay for the jokes
I would love to know why Omega persist with their non functional HEV when it's so polarising and must cost them sales. I think this is a great option for a modern dive watch and there is enough to make it stand out at a decent price
Just because you would never use it does not make it “non functional”. Seamasters have been a great selling watch for Omega for years. Maybe they just know more than you.
Minute hand is necessarily skeletonized for weight reduction. Minute hand is unnecessarily skeletonized so you can drink in all of that 3-D lume.
agree no date complication is a no go for me. I would rather have a Tudor Pelagos
it's also terrific
Makes an SMP look like a Langhe lmao those applied markers look like they’re out of a gum-ball machine
I know it's Ti and all, but the pricing creep is something to dislike about CW's new strategy 🤔
LOVE PINEAPPLE PIZZA AND TAKEAWAY CURRY THE MORNING AFTER,OH ERRM I LOVE THIS WATCH ALSO IT SURPRISES ME YOU THINK ITS BORING,BUT EVERYONE GOT AN OPINION LIKE ASSHOLES(OTHER CHANNELS)THE MORNING AFTER,I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL I THINK YOU SMASHED THIS ONE BROTHER
Comic sans? That's just evil.
Nice Video, thx
Those lugs appear to downturn past the underside of the watch head, therefore they appear to sit on your wrist. Is that annoying?
Personally, I think it's a homerun for this smaller brand at this price point.
Just crushes watch reviews. I mean, in every aspect. Touche sir! Touche...
For fun ill give my ratings too:

I feel sticky to titanium watches too!
Me too!
There are dozens of us!
Great review.....balanced and biased (in a good way) at the same time.
AMZWATCH is one of my favorite watch manufacturers they do offer beautifull dials, good workmanship & moovements. That smooth sweeping second hand is truly mesmerizing!
Cold Hawaiian pizza for the win!
No one states how long the lume lasts.
Charge it up and let's see how long it last since it is the main feature of the watch.
They don't comment on it because there's no difference in longevity.
There are times when you channel Jeff Goldblum...not to worry u or nuffin 😂
Have gotten that my whole life and it's one of my favorite compliments.
@@YoureTerrific thought it would be 🤣
I don't get the uninteresting aspect. To me that is kind of necessary to have a conventional shape when you come out with a dial that out there looking. Too much crazy all around and it starts to become too weird to wear as a standard watch. This keeps it firmly in a daily driver conversation while still being interesting enough that I'd definitely cross the room to talk about it if i hadn't seen it on TH-cam before. Those lume blocks are really striking
OMG, I like cold Hawaiian pizza for breakfast too........
