Thank you so much i was willing to buy a course on fashion merchandising and it was really expensive. You opened my eyes that the visual merchandising is what i really want not fashion merchandising 😂 i thought the fashion merchandising more creative 🙏🏼 thank you again ♥️
I am a visual merchandiser by experience only thank for sharing you knowlage and talent.. I'm pretty sure I will learn a lot from you... thank and God bless you more...
Hi Marica, Thank you for sharing your knowledge for effective Visual merchandising displays/techniques. I'm glad I've found you here. I have a deep interest ever since that there is Visual Merchandising, but I have no idea how to work on my skills since I am shifting to this career.
Hello +Noel Jordan Racca, thanks for you support! I'm planning a series of video about how to work on skills for a VM so you can stay tuned or, if you want something made-to measure you you can submit a request for a personal consultation via mail at marica@maricagigante.com! :D
Hi Marica, your very much welcome. Thank you for you quick response that sounds awesome indeed! I have been watching all your videos since the day I've found you here. It is really helping me since I am building my portfolio and working on found materials that I will use for the window display to present to prospective clients since I have decided to work as a freelance visual merchandiser. Any advice for freelance visual merchandisers and portfolio preparation that you can share for us? Thanks!
Thank you so much for sharing, may you please provide me with a link where you share ideas...like which colours work best on the front, sides and at the back of the store
Hello, I am working in retail and would love to know how I can become a visual merchandiser. I am very passionate about it but can you please make a video about the steps you took to become a visual merchandiser?
I understand that this might seems a simple version but, to be honest, there are a lot of valid schools that explore the topic of fashion buying, also each person has a different background and expectation so that's the reason is not really simple for me just to point my finger on one school saying is THE best school for that topic :)
Hi I am working with massimo dutti store recently I got transfer in VM and I don't have any trainer I don't have any knowledge also so I got lot of help from you video and it was so simple and clear also Thanks mam
I'm 18 and have just got a job as a VM at Primark in the Metrocentre, UK. I'm nervous about my first day as there was a lot to take in on the induction I had, is there any tips you can give in relation to a new starter in VM? Thanks :)
Hi, I really have learned alot from your tutorial, I appeared in an interview lately but before I did, I first watched series of your video and it really really helped me at the interview to answer most of their questions. Thank you very much for the tutorials. I subscribed also to your channel and follow you on Instagram.
hi marica , as I am a fashion tech student ........I am very keen to do my career in visual merchandizing ..........I didn't have any contacts to enter in the field ......I am a fresher ......how to enter and start my career as a VM .....give ur advice abt diz.........
+guna poorna jothi Hey there! I will soon give you my advice about this as you are not the only one asking me this question and I know is really interesting topic! Please stay tuned so you'll make sure to get my advice :D
Hey there, it is possible to become a VM manager by growing professionally inside a company even without a degree. I'm currently working on something that it might be really handy for you, in order to understand the different paths to become a VM and so on, stay tuned :)
Hi Marica! I've been working in retail for about 5 years and i'd love to start a career in visual merchandising. I have a degree in marketing and PR but i'm feeling a bit lost in how to get my foot in the world of merchandising. I'm currently working as a sales associate in a huge department store. Please, if you have any advice on how to start off, it'd be highly appreciated!! Love your videos and your instagram! Keep up the great work...
+vickieee1 Hello Vickie, thank you very much for your support! I was thinking of a series about Q&A and personal advice on these topics, so I guess soon I'll put together all these information! :D
Hello, everyone! I'm reaching out to inform you that I've just created a group on Facebook with the aim of sharing each other experience and learn about Visual Merchandising. Here the link to the group : facebook.com/groups/VisualMerchandisingWorldwideCommunity/ ! You are all invitted to join and share your experience, learn and be a better VM :)
Grazie Marica per questo video davvero utile, giovedì scorso ho fatto il mio primo corso di visual merchandiser ed è un settore che mi appassiona molto.Puoi consigliarmi un master o delle linee guida per diventare visual merchandiser?
+chiara pinna Ciao Chiara!
So why we need to called them a Fashion Merchandiser,? its simply say BUYER! Im a VM and you say it right about us, art of selling without speaking. blah blah.... in fact some buyers asking VM bout what is good or not, the thing is, they higher than than vm team or even corporate.
Yes, there is not much difference between buyers and fashion merchandiser but really often the 2 roles are confused. In an ideal company ( not really common I have to say) Fashion Merchandiser - or so-called Buyers- should work hand in hand through all the process of buying and displaying/selling. As said... not always is going so well!
At the first glance your video it failed on Visual Styling, & Fashion Styling. 1- your hair styling needs improvement and grooming 2- your attire needs correction. 3- scarf is unkempt and unbalanced.
Thanks for your suggestion, especially coming from an expert stylist and video good-presence like you! First of all my look is just the way I wanted to be: European style is very different from other country and I'm not surprised that not everyone gets it! But I don't mind, is my style, I'm fine with it. I'm not a Stylist but a Visual Merchandiser aka I increase sales displaying things strategically into window displays and in-store 1- my hair is natural, not an anchorwoman, not wearing a wig. Still decent and not dirty or bad kept. Making video is not my job, I like to share knowledge and showing that I'm a real person! 2 - my attire is just the way I wanted to be. 3 - my scarf is unbalanced on purpose. Do you have a comment concerning my topic, Visual Merchandising? I'll be more than happy to discuss further with you about that. Otherwise, I suggest not to comment about my aesthetic since I'm not a Stylist neither a beauty guru. Thanks

Thank you for clarifying the differences between VM and FM. Absolutely fascinating!
Crazy ting u get fashion courses in visual merchandising
Wow! Thank you. I'm in school for fashion and I never knew the difference until now.
+isaiah littleton Thank you for watching. This was really brief and simplest explanation (the both roles do a lot more) but really glad to be helpful!
So I have a question which one makes for money and if i were a fashion merchandiser would I work with the designer
Does the window display design/ installations lays under the visual merchandiser duties or it is a completely different position?
Thank you so much i was willing to buy a course on fashion merchandising and it was really expensive. You opened my eyes that the visual merchandising is what i really want not fashion merchandising 😂 i thought the fashion merchandising more creative 🙏🏼 thank you again ♥️

Hi. I'd like to know the courses to take and the qualifications needed to be a fashion merchandiser.
thanks for your inquiry! I'm currently working on something that it might be really handy for you, stay tuned :)
There are many schools that have a major in fashion merchandising also internships and job experience is needed. That's a very simple version.
I understand that this might seems a simple version but, to be honest, there are a lot of valid schools that explore the topic of fashion buying, also each person has a different background and expectation so that's the reason is not really simple for me just to point my finger on one school saying is THE best school for that topic :)
Thanks for the video. May I ask how you design a 3D planogram? Is there a special application for that?
