Life as a Trainee Merchandiser

A lot of people don't get what merchandising really is. Some people think its visual merchandising - dressing shop windows - and others think it's all to do with figure crunching. So we thought it would be a good idea to put together a few videos to clear things up once and for all!

Great. I was an On Call Merchandiser at Macy's on several floors, mostly working with signage and store transfers. I enjoy working with Men's Fragrance, which I supported annually on the holidays on the register and with gift wrap on request. I also sold and recovered in Men's Furnishings and Men's Shoes Ringing. As well as, Holiday Tabletop, Housewares, Juniors and Active.

This bad business relishes on market claims to its suppliers up to 30% of total invoice amount for some ridiculously absurd reasons while refusing to verify any of the actual detail even after the products have been 100% piece by piece inspected by its people from HK before shipments.
NEXT seems to believe factories and suppliers are limitless and the extortion from the unjustified claim deduction from the payment being held is just too sweet to give up especially with the bad economy it has.
