    There are three single wire leads comming off the gryo for ale. elev. and rud. , are those the ones you plug into your receiver?

      i am sorry I choose not to use the gyro and used a Spektrum rx that had it's own gyro.

    nice. quick question : on the flight modes it comes out of the box with 1- gyro off 2- gyro on (as3x) 3 - self level (safe ) ??

    • @FatGuyFliesRC
      @FatGuyFliesRC  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes but your not able to adjust anything and you will need a 8 channel receiver to make it all work.

    • @jeffbrundt7740
      @jeffbrundt7740 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @heyjack...actually it comes OoB with gyro, off or attitude hold as the settings.
      If you want SAFE then you'll need to reprogram using the programming box or via the Tx (which is a pain). I just opted for getting the programming box.
      But honestly, this plane does not need a gyro. It flies so well to begin with a gyro is really superfluous.

      @@jeffbrundt7740 Well mine must be a newer one then. Off camera i plugged the gyro in and assigned it to a 3 position switch the three levels were gyro on , gyro off and self level but of course no way to adjust the gains. I tested these three levels the way you test any gyro by picking the plane up and physically moving the plane in the control surface direction like i do with Spektrum SAFE receivers in the self level mode the control surfaces held their position to self right the plane, in the gyro off mode no surfaces moved and nothing could be heard and in wind gyro mode the control surfaces moved in the direction of the movement or forwards the direction of the movement the way a AS3X gyro when properly setup would but quickly resumed their previous trim.
      However the gains seemed like to much and given the several comments i have gotten and private emails, and discussion groups all saying that the gyro is ok but has issues with signal and conflicts I opted not to use it. What they said created enough doubt in me that I am not going to trust it.

      @jeffbrundt7740 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @FatGuyFliesRC you described the modes as factory programmed. The one mode where all surfaces held is attitude hold mode. You need to look at the LED color on the gyro. The manual tells you which mode it's in. To change modes you need the programming box.
      You can trust the gyro just don't switch to attitude hold mode. That's how i flew mine until i got the programming box and switched to SAFE mode.
      Like i said previously, this plane doesn't need a gyro.

      @jeffbrundt7740 I understand as you said the plane does not need a gyro. But I have already removed the gyro and installed my GEN2 7 channel rx and will run with that. Now if the weather and work will just let me fly it..lol
