i feel like thats how guy friends talk to each other all the time lol. we roast each other as a unit but work better in an emotional level when it's one to one private conversation
Ed Helms is a comedy legend. He has no ego despite his fame, I love how he dares to be zany and look foolish for comedy but his comedy is always full of heart too. The early daily show crew were very talented.
I'm loving every minute of every celebrity speaker! The Baseball theme here is a nice addition to each speaker's unique style of humor and take on Jon.
You can always rely on Ed to sing, do crazy Andy Bernard dancing and be generally hilarious 😂.I love the haters reactions to because he is an either love him or hate him type and while I love him, I enjoy how much he annoys other people just as much!
Jon did not want to possibly injure the catcher with a high speed fastball, and have to turn down being recruited, He was just too busy with The Daily Show at the time.
@@ambikalx I absolutely dislike him in the office after the first couple seasons he was in. After Steve Carrell left the show he was pretty hard to watch... lol his singing is ugh...
@@guinnessharvey4476 I think you underestimate the global fame of some of the speakers. I mean... Chappelle? I can't peak to Laos or Mozambique but I'd say quite a lot of these people are known in Europe at least. Stewart and TDS (and thus most of the speakers) were useful to many Europeans like myself trying to make sense of things happening across the pond that made no sense to us as outsiders. And even if it didn't always succeed in that it did often show us that a whole lot of Americans were equally confused and appalled by the things that bothered us. And if nothing else there was always just the sense of catharsis at being able to laugh together at the things that scared us. Also if you think the rest of the world in general and Europe in particular don't care about the US or their celebrities... boy do I have news for you. And for the record I did enjoy watching this. A lot of top-tier comedic talent and the opportunity to watch Jon Stewart squirm under the barrage of compliments. I can only imagine how difficult it would have been for him if he wasn't absolutely and most certainly dead.
Gotta love that every speaker from the Daily Show either insulted, criticized, or embarrassed Jon before telling him how great he is
Just to make him more comfortable 😂

That's just how roasts work. And comedians are always going to choose a roast as part of their way of showing love and respect.
@@Ahbenmautadine and girl friends too. it's not a guy thing.
I don't trust people who can naturally accept large amounts of flattery without getting uncomfortable :]

It’s great that they have Jon miked up so you can hear all his reactions.
Just to see Jon having such a genuinely good time is everything.
Everyone speaking at this ceremony was amazing.
The clip of Jon's pitch and his reaction made the "take me out to the ball game" entrance sooo hilarious when I rewatched this
I'm loving every minute of every celebrity speaker! The Baseball theme here is a nice addition to each speaker's unique style of humor and take on Jon.
Not selling out, it's buying in.
Before I clicked on the this thumbnail, I said out loud, "I bet Ed sings."
Nice to see Andy still has his musical talent
Berkeley
I love it when Jon sees the punchline coming a mile away.
which is about how far that pitch was from the catcher.

Your Passion, generosity and integrity are what make you great.
Ed nailed it. They all did, for such a legend!
My new hero, Jon Stewart! Standing up for my fellow vets to get them the Healthcare they deserve was fantastic. Keep fighting for those who need it.
Jon: "Don't do it, Ed!"
Me: "Oh, he's gonna do it."
We ALL owe John Stewart. Wish he were still making us laugh instead of crying.
He isn't dead yet (sorry John Oliver), he is on Apple+ and TH-cam, still making us laugh.
Congratulations to Jon Stewart 👏 this was well deserved!
If not for Jon Stewart comedy wouldn't be what it is today. His talent is finding the best in people and making it better.
Yes!!!
no lie, when you look at the top talent that came out of that show, man.
100% agree
Oh my. He's not all that. Funny, yes. But there's great stuff that happened decades before him and continue well after him
Couldn’t have been any more deserving, happy for him.
I think my favourite part of watching these is Jon Stewarts reactions. lol Well earned!
I keep coming back to this. Ed Helms is a treasure.
Lol...making Jon relive that baseball throw XD
Ed Helms: Do a musical at every opportunity you get
Dave Chappelle face was PRICELESS 😂
I couldn't tell if he was puzzled, offended, or both.
My guy was confused and worried 😆
Ed Helms embracing his inner “Andy” 😂
I was waiting for “Michael Scott” to appear!!!
Now that's an entrance.

Literally they all say "You have a lot of empathy".
Mark Twain would have been proud and probably friends with Jon.
Crazy simplicity. Just like Jon Stewart, after all.
When I see Ed Helms I expect to also see Rob Corddry... (and Sam Bee etc, I know she attended this.)... man those were the days
I see that Andy still cant stop singing.
It's always nice to hear it at appropriate times though
This is my favorite.
Monorail monorail monorailllllll!
Ed Helms must sing. Always.
"Ned Flanders at a Trump rally" I was laughing :D
Ed is the best.
Ed helms is iconic
Jon did not want to possibly injure the catcher with a high speed fastball, and have to turn down being recruited, He was just too busy with The Daily Show at the time.
Great Video! Love it!
That was great!
2:04 aww, John’s son def had a little surprise burp right here 😂
Ed Helms, the man who makes telling a joke, a job, and rarely seems to smile otherwise.
The T-shirt cannon is the most American thing ever.
"Ned Flanders at a Trump rally." Haha -- Ed Helms, priceless.
Long live the Nard Dog
their wtf reaction is priceless
The Narddog crushed this.
0:45 that lady's reaction to Jon's exclamation is priceless (a motherly reply i bet)
it's actually a decent first pitch.
I would have buried it five feet in front of the pitchers mound. 50mph into the dirt.
we need you to run for president
It wouldn’t be Andy without singing 😂🔥
Jon telling Ed to stop playing the baseball pitch video is funny and he sounds like a stereotypical Italian living in NY haha
Top 10 anime betrayals of all time
I miss him. Jon Steward for president is actually a great idea.
The crew that came out of that era at The Daily Show are our generations Rat Pack. They’re just…iconic
"Dressed like ned flanders at a trump rally"- brilliant
Not really that brilliant lol. Kinda generic
@@PettyVagrant yikes.
This most be the time T-shirt cannons have been inside the center😂😂
we need a moment of zen
And in that moment Jon was thinking I am in deep
That is a versatile costume Ed's wearing.
the clip of him pitching for the Mets and the # on the back of the shirt is 45.......surrealistic!
lol Ed Helms the best comedy ACTOR in Jon Stewart's universe
Yes so true
No. Not at all
He really is. Such an underrated actor
No, Steve Carrell
But what was on the t shirts I hope it was something to remember the date and time of that amazing throw haha
That is Andy Bernard starting the show.
Chapelle looks puzzled. Or offended. Or some combo.
supposed Ed helms has like...a stellar rig.
Ed Helms showing why he’s on Comcast commercials
Here comes Treble…
Ed Helms is dressed like Colonel Sanders if he owned a candy cane factory.
He did a decent act considering who else was on
Full disclosure, I had no idea who Ed Helms was, but I am so glad I decided to watch his speech, too. Seems like a very fun guy.
He was one of the original correspondents on the Daily Show. He did a lot of great segments. I recommend looking them up.
He also was Andy Bernard, a main character on The Office. He's also a respected bluegrass musician
Is there even such thing as a respected bluegrass musician?
You haven't seen the hangover trilogy?
@@ambikalx I absolutely dislike him in the office after the first couple seasons he was in. After Steve Carrell left the show he was pretty hard to watch... lol his singing is ugh...
Damn people respect him as do i
Hope everyone caught the main point that he made… his integrity over everything while es helms was preforming slapstick
Okay but what was on the tshirts they were firing?
Vote for Stewart?
They missed a joke of not letting Kim Kardashian near Mark Twain's tshirt cannon that was on loan from the Smithsonian.
Is there a reason the frame rate is insanely low?

And he was wearing Ol' Hanks number. WHY!? WHY!? WHYYYY!? John!? Why did you have to pick THAT number.
This was the most Andy Bernard skit he could have done

Wow, even The Kennedy Center got Egg Helms' name wrong.
Broke out the outfit from that Mumford and Sons vid🤣
John throws like Rudy Giuliani 😆
I always thought Jon Stewart is lefthanded, he always wrote with his left during the Daily Show. But he 'threw' the baseball with his right?
I write left handed and I throw righty.
If only George Carlin was in the crowd.

Where is that eternally upstarting pc?!!
WTF HAHAHHAHA so random I’m dead 😂
Ed Helm's more principal Skinner than Ned Flanders
Is he related to Stephen Colbert?
Orville Reddenbacher at a pride parade
