I can honestly say that 9 years ago when I saw Train of Thought, it has become the sole contributing factor I studied animation as a degree , shot my grad film half in paper, graduated with a first and now persuing a career in paper art advertising. My work (directly because of your influence) has led me to work in London and Bristol on various projects and I'm starting an exciting career under the name of StroodPaper! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making Train of Thought, it's wonderful and I will always remember it with admiration. Thank you! - Jack Strood
I've watched this so many times now, and keep seeing more detail - great! It gets me thinking a lot too, which can't be a bad thing either. Such depth within such a seemingly simple framework. Many thanks guys.
the animation is a master piece! but what i really love the most is the perfect match of sound affects and affective music, i saved just the audio of this video and listen to it as an mp3 all the time while writing or drawing, its so inspiring and really gets my mind working with memory and emotion. thanks for uploading this :D
Great animation, conception. Although at the end I expected the lady--holding a similar drawing book-- would also have a train of thought of the man appearing/meeting the man. :)
Wow... this is really cool, great job! Seeing all the credits at the end makes me appreciate the hard work :D (urm I'm not really that cheesy) The design, the music, the ending, all lovely :)
i was introduced to this by Leo at an animation festival in Leicester. I'm James Lewis' brother if that means anything to you. Just wanted to let you know how much I love this animated short! An inspiration to those who aren't even animators! Thank you :)
LOVEEEEEE the storyline, the animation -- how did u even came up with that? i'll never underestimate paper animation again! i love especially the 1:20 part, and 1:37

This animation is really amazing and sweet I love how the train tracks look like rails and movie strips!

@123rcjm I find it necessary for at least one person to do it. since he was asking for thumbs up.
13 people are made of paper and thus have no heart.
I didn't understand the meaning behind it, but well made despite me being stupid.
