I love Ennoshita because he's probably the most like the average viewer, really. Just wanted to goof off. Isn't really special or unique. But, with the potential to be an amazing leader, to inspire, to learn, to grow. Love this episode!
The pararel between how Daichi and Ennoshita trying to keep the team morale steady is really a great way to show viewer why he should be next captain. From hiding their worry from the team to mantain composure (notice how both of them act like everything is fine in front of Tanaka despite their own worries) to trying to comfort or railing up his teammates (Daichi do this to Hinata and Ennoshita to Yamaguchi). I think is easy to forget that team captain is not need to be the most brilliant player on team but one with leadership quality. Especially when it come to high school team. I think both Tanaka and Nishinoya is right when they nominated Ennoshita as next captain.
Btw you can actually re-attach a knocked-out tooth, as long as it's timely and the tooth is intact. The best thing to do is pick it up by the crown and shove it back in place. (Don't wrap in cloth, don't put in water. The best is to put it back, or put it in a container with milk, or the person's spit if not available- tap water is damaging to the root of the tooth and should not be used). A dentist can re-attach that tooth and have it last for years if emergency services is performed quickly, ideally within 30 mins.
It is rare for a team to play two matches in a row. Brackets are designed to prevent that. Seijoh is warming up for their match. Shiratorizawa is on their court. Seijoh’s game starts when Shiratorizawa clears the court.
Everyone can be a Ennoshita. Everyone can have hobbies, but it's a personal matter, you can pick up and down... trading cards, knitting, patchwork. But group activities like team sports, or theatre, are different. Everyone rely on each other, everyone is needed to build a team. Once you experience that, you will need the team as much. You can appreciate the feeling of controlling your own time, but you'll eventually regret to be out of the loop. Ten years ago I moved from a big to a little city, and I didn't immediately find volley federations and team (I play at amateur level). I was too distracted to keep on looking for a team and I ended up not playing for 4 years, after 12 years of being in the same team. Because you know, new life, new problems, new things to keep yourself busy with. But something was off. When I finally found a new team I knew I needed it.

Ennoshita is Daichi but more babyfaced. Just look at him and you'll see how he kinda look like Daichi. And actually both Ennoshita and Tanaka are qualified to be the captain. Tanaka is strong willed person. A strong foundation. He also is the only Second year who actually never had a leave (like Ennoshita, Narita and Kinoshita running away and Nishinoya being suspended). He's just not the best option as what they said because he couldn't be possibly lead the first year line up if he's overzealous himself. Ennoshita on the other hand, is almost like Daichi. He's also very matured and had a more hold on each and every member by being on the sidelines, observing them. He may not be as special as anybody else, but he still has the leader aura around him.
Actually believe it or not, Tanaka is like Suga of the second year. Like their former captain before Daichi said, they couldn't be always nice (especially the Captain). So Daichi had to be stern sometimes to them. And now, Ennoshita has the same aura among the second years. But Sugawara isn't. He's the kind one that balances them. The more encouraging one that would comfort you if you ever felt too pressured by the captain, that kind of person. Tanaka is just the same.

The 'not really' in my comment means that they might know this by now because they watch this in advance. And the seijoh vs karasuno match is inevitable. 😀
