Whoever came up with this idea of adding an interview to every recording they make is a genius. I really enjoyed listening to Winsemius' passionate accounts for this great music. He expressed frustration about the limitations of the organ for the second movement, but probably because of his so-much-more-to-tell feeling, I found that the second movement was particularly rich in emotions!

In this profound though short interview, Bernard Winsemius reveals the fact that he is a real musician - not 'only' a very good organist: he has an overall point of view on this Sonata. I must contradict him on one point - he did managed to transfer to his listeners the sensitivity of the middle movement, even though it was played on the organ! Beautiful playing and wonderful interview. Thanks.

Wow this was such a wonderful small description and statements, and so nice to hear a organist actually question the limitations that the organ has. Didn't quite understand the reason for the Wilhelm Friedemann reference with the second theme tough

Winsemius is the number one for barock and early music, but not only for that. Lucky who has him as Master

I don't speak Dutch or German or French, but I wish I could talk to these guys in real life... Someday maybe I'll get to play a harpsichord. (I only have a broken old with century piano that has been rotting in the desert for 150 years, and no one around me wants to hear what I can do. I understand what they're saying when they speak "music" talk... I'm so lonely in the Wild-West of USA.

Thankfully music is a universal language. Can't you find a teacher or school? Maybe for practise you could start out with a bentside spinet? Those are more affordable than a full scale harpsichord and you do not have to tune them as often. I practise on a bentside spinet at home and play on the church organ of my teacher during lessons.
