I just replaced my 497 with this little radio and its a screaming little rig. My friend has a base station here in PA. We were talking for 35 miles when I was going North on 81 lots of huge hills and valleys. The performance is amazing
Im primarily intetested in a excellent CB reciever. I just like listening while traveling. Presently running a Cobra 25 LTD Classic and a K30 magnetic mount antenna. I do not have the need for transmitting power. Are there better radios for recieving?

Can anyone tell me in the 447hpc2 what resistor or diode in it is the mod limiter I just purchased a used one and want to make sure if the mod limiter has been cut or not as I don't believe clipping mod limiters if anyone could tell me I would appreciate it thanks.

Does this have 11 meter capabilities?
It does but needs to be converted I believe. He showed he was in the 27 MHz range which is CB 11meter
