    I have found that if you use a small "chip clip" or one of those clips like is on the hangars from the store, it will hold the yarn in place until you knit off and keep it from backing off.

    Thank you for this video. It’s very instructive. To scale this down would you increase the skipped pegs at the beginning and end ? I’m thinking I would just skip the first 8, starting on 9. If that’s correct would I keep the rest of the pattern the same or would I need to adjust? In particular, I’m thinking of those two sections that have three pegs in between the skipped pegs. Thanks!

    Nice tutorial. I'm going to try this as my first project on this loom. I'm just curious as to why you didn't weave the ends in. With a cut that close to the knot, I'd be worried that the whole project would unravel. Normally when I crochet or knit anything, I leave about six inches at the ends to weave in. Have you had a blanket unravel?

    • @B-Crafts

    • @B-Crafts

      Melisa Crider yes you want to skip the first peg on both sides. In the description I have written out which pegs you want to skip. If you do not skip the pegs you blanket will not turn out right.

    • @ashleymorgan6109
      @ashleymorgan6109 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Sandi Scionti I haven't looked at this loom in detail, but I'm guessing that all the pegs are equally spaced. If this is the case, then the outside of the curve will have more pegs than the interior. By skipping those specific pegs, she can maintain an equal number of pegs for her zig zag, and a constant length of stitch. At least, that's my guess.

      Thank you so much! I figured, but wasn't exactly sure! So basically every time I start a new row, skip the peg that is holding the working yarn?

    Could you show how you skip a little slower? I love the figure 8 version, but find it hard to keep up with how quick you move.

      There should be an option on the video to slow it down. It is found in the settings.

      It depends how many rolls you use. 4 large is about the size of a twin. I used 10 to make a queen

    I’m confused why do you always have to skip the pegs? Some skip in the beginning like 5 pegs and this one she is skipping the blank pegs😱. So confused here. Thank You

    Why do you skip pegs? Why not all of them?

    • @B-Crafts
      @B-Crafts  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you don't skip pegs with the figure 8 then the blanket will not come out straight. If you want to use all the pegs you will have to do the normal blanket style.

  • @heatmaster35

      If you do a figure 8 and don't skip some pegs it won't be straight.

      It is not very other one. The ones that I skip help the blanket be even sized.

    I hate loom knitting. We did it as children and it always gave me a headache. It's slower and more prone to difficulties than regular knitting. Unless you have a physical impairment that doesn't allow you to knit like normal, don't bother with loom knitting.

    • @trinitymorningstar6607

      Loom knitting is SO MUCH EASIER than needle knitting. Don't listen to this nay-sayer.

      Just because YOU don’t like it that doesn’t mean others don’t. Why make a negative comment when you could have just passed on by.

      I know how to needle knit, crochet, and loom knit. I'd much rather do the loom knitting. It's really not that difficult.
