Ferigan Qoshja Cham is an ethnic group of Cambodia followed Islam but first they were Hinduism. Kampong cham is their largest home. About the word of "Cham" is still unclear. Some said it referred to a Cambodian word Cham means "waiting" to a place in Kampong city present. But the place they already knew that was home of Cham ethnic after they fled them to build a new city. The word of Cham both Cambodian and Cham ethnic pronounce as the same [Ja:m] with different meanings. In Cambodian language means to wait but in Cham language it is the name of flower "Champa" derived from Sanskrit word.
