- Massachusetts resident Bena Apreala was stopped by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement officers whom he said didn't identify themselves while he was jogging in West Roxbury on Tuesday. They said he resembled a fugitive.
Matching the description is one of the most abused excuses to violate people.
Either that or they say we've had a lot of "insert crime here"going on around here and the last few perpetrators were "insert race here"

Really? Like someone recording has ever stopped a corrupt cop from abusing their power.
I don't agree in this instance they stopped him for racial profiling, otherwise they would have cuffed him and taken away with some BS charges thrown at him.
They were investigating looking for someone and he matched the description so they were trying to see if it was him but they realised it is not the same person hence why they let him go and just asked few questions.
When cops are determined to fuckk someone they would do it regardless someone is recording or not, cameras never stop corrupt cops.
We didn't let the British do it, we can't let these minions and their apologists do it either.

Cops always say that...you matched their description..lying as usual. And we all jog with our I.D...NOT! This guy is lucky. Good thing he speaks perfect English.

@ Surveillance requires PROFESSIONAL observation. Does he have a car? Then run the plate. Where does he live? Get census records. Call local utilities. If he's legit then there's an open paper trail where he's easily identified. Do they do this? NOPE. We'll just ride around in the Mystery Machine and quint at a photo until we 'see' him. That's not police work. That's stupidity. It doesn't matter if they were racist or dumb. Their conduct goes in the same trash dump. Are you serious?
@@junkdubious how are they going to do any of that if all they have is a description of a guy who just robbed a liquor store and was last seen running in a specific direction ? There are endless scenarios where all they have is a description. Please pull your head out of your ass. We live in a society together sometimes you might be inconvenienced for the benefit of everybody else. Having a cop ask you some questions and check your id is not a big deal unless you resist like a spoiled child and make it a big deal. Who are you to say what is good or bad police work? How long have you been on the force?
I always ask, "So what is the description you're trying to match?" You can always catch them making shit up. Full beard vs goatee. 30 something vs 60. 5'8" vs 6'1". 160 vs 220. I just walk away saying, "Nope, not me, have a good day."

I’m tired of seeing law enforcement so out of shape and hyped up. Every cop I know who can handle themselves never has these kinds of issues. If you’re a cop it’s a physical job. Get in shape not on an ego trip. And if this is your version of detective work then you really need more training.

@@nicvanorton6795 1st amendment freedom of speech (anything he said could have been used against him on court of law) and freedom of press (he was recording and being detained) and freedom to assemble (he was a lawful pedestrian on public sidewalk. Not the letter but the spirit of the 2nd and 3rd amendment where the idea was to ensure law enforcement/military could not violate principles of individual freedom as a right that this nation was formed on. 4th Amendment asked him for documents. 5th amendment lack of due process. 6th amendment speaking with him without a lawyer present. 7th & 8th the right to speedy trial easily avoidable using patriot act they can literally detain him indefinitely and never provide reason. 9th right to be treated fairly... as I saw in another comment I've never heard of white people being stopped when they are looking for European suspect, that excuse of fitting the description is racist because they tend to use it more broadly and with way more error against POC. 10TH they were federal law enforcement not state. OMG I just saw a video about the San Antonio Police arrested a black man jogging because he supposedly fit the description of a man who was wearing black shorts, green shirt, light facial hair, full head of hair and flip flops, he apparently choked his baby momma. Well the jogger was black but was wearing a neon yellow shirt, white shorts W/black stripes on the side, full beard, was slightly bald, wearing a cap, oh and he was wearing running shoes. How could they ever have made that made mistake.... idiot cops ... ugh
So at 1.48 we are told that ICE was to show a photo of who they were after -- where is it?
Because I want to know how much our jogger matched or didn't.
Police cant stop people on 2 to 3 generic descriptive points (race - sex - age).
They have to have a proper description as in
- race (light - dark - between)
- sex
- age (teen or mid 20's or 30-45 or older (50's) old)
- ruff height + weight
- bald / not bald
- beard and or mustache
