  • For well over a century, the Veterans of Foreign Wars has carried the torch for veterans. Every year, every battle, fighting for what veterans have earned. For justice, for remembrance, for community, for country.

As a legacy life member, I believe we all, as members, need to actively solicit veterans to increase our power in the halls of politics. We're losing our WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam vets. Without our OIF/OEF, Balkan, and ND vets, we will lose our bargaining power in DC.

My grandfathers were in WW1, my father was in WWII, two uncles in the Korean war. Not one of them would talk about their experience there

The VFW along with the veterans organization, such as a DAV, and host of others I’ve done nothing except increase the bureaucracy of the VA. To the point where the VA is there to serve the medical community and local politicians who want the facilities there district unfortunately extremist Republicans right now are more intent on destroying Lincoln’s legacy than they are running a good government. Which includes department of veterans affairs
