Chris, thanks for doing these videos. I bought a fancy timer last year and after trying to read the instructions I put the timer in the bottom of my camera bag. Last month I thought of searching out a You Tube video for it and had the timer mastered in 10 minutes. Videos are such a great teaching aid. I've been into photography for 60 years and a few years back went from film SLR to DSLR which I'll never master, but do love, and I'm learning little pieces at a time. Thanks for all you do.

I have quite a few digital cameras but have only shot in Auto. Now that I watched this video I know that I will learn and understand how to shoot in manual. You give clear instructions and they are in language most people will understand. Thank you!

Hi Chris I am so pleased you have done these classes. I randomly came across your night photography on you tube and that inspired me to get a dslr camera, I have always been frightened of photography after a bad experience but your classes are getting me over that.

Thank you so much once again for another incredible tutorial. I have learned so much from you. I’m taking an online photography class but you’re way way way better than the teacher!!! Someday I hope to attend one of your live classes. I have a Canon M50 but in continuous mode, my camera only takes 2 photos at a time. This is in sports mode and SP mode. It doesn’t take more than two photos. Do you know what could be the problem? Also, do you use any of the White Balance choices like cloudy, shade, etc and do you recommend them? Thank you so much once again! I’ve recommended your videos to my friends because you’re the best!!

Might be an old memory card slowing things down. ANd yes I do white balance sometimes, but motly auto. Only it when there is ugly orange lighting.

Hello. Whenever I try to shoot the "smokey/smooth" of water, it always is white, washed out, overexposed..even tried putting it on TV mode but that didn't work either. I live near the beach so I took pics of waves.

Try exposure compensation and use it to darken your image.

Can you take a look at a couple pics I took of comet neowise and give me some constructive criticism? After all it was my first time using this camera and it was your video that allowed me to capture it.
