  • Part 2 of my beginner photography series. Use Aperture Mode instead of manual mode!
    Aperture Mode is going to be your new favorite mode! In 10 minutes you will learn how to shoot in Aperture Mode, why you should do it, and get some clever tips and tricks.
    This mode is great for amazing portraits, scenery, architecture & more.
    This class has been taught to over 6,000 students at over 400 classes, all over Western Canada.
    Did I mention I made this simple?

    Chris, I took your Zoom class tonight and I really enjoyed it. I’ve had my DSLR for almost 5 years and didn’t know how to use it. After your zoom, I know so much more. Your videos are fantastic too! I’m so excited to start doing some night photography/better day time photography in general! Thank you so much!

    great video, i took your in person course in leduc a few days ago. i well recommend it if people can go to it. it really is true, i had never got off auto mode in 18 months since having this camera. now i doubt if i will ever use full auto again. aperture and shutter priority are easy to use with these few teachings. just takes practice to solidify the concepts

    Got a Canon M50 Mark II for Fathers Day from wifey. I need a hobby, as I'm a pastor and professional coach of physicians. Very busy. Thanks for your easy to understand first lesson about aperture mode. I'll be practicing … and now I have a great hobby.

    Although I just came across this video. I can’t thank you enough. I’m still a little confused about aperture. I know that exposure actcount for lighting. But so does aperture? Now, I’m a subscriber. Because I understand your explanation best.

    I watch your videos over and over again because you provide so much information in a short video and I also find that I pick up another tip or have forgotten something you said. Love the F8 and everything is great tip!! Can you use AP mode at night? For example, for model shoots or a landscape with a moon in it? For the landscape with moon, can you shoot in AF or do you have to manually focus? And what settings please, if not shooting in aperture priority mode? I don’t mean just a few hoot of the moon but rather a landscape with the moon as part of it. Thank you so much! I’ve watched tutorials by a lot of instructors and you’re the best!! I wish you were having classes in Winnipeg.

    • @attrell
      @attrell  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      YOu will have to use manual focus, and probably manual mode to shoot at night.

    Hi Chris @attrell first let me congratulate you, and thank you, on the quality of your videos. Excellent stuff beginners like me. One question that I have is about the ideal Minimum shutter speed in the ISO Sensitivity settings when using Aperture Mode. I have the Auto ISO on, with minimum Shutter speed also on Auto, but when I am outdoors the Shutter speed seems to be very long and photos often turn out blurred or out of focus. Should I keep this on Auto or should I set a minimum shutter speed? and if yes what would you recommend. Appreciate your thoughts.

    • @attrell
      @attrell  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! I set my min shutter to 1/80th, I can easily handheld at that speed.
