These videos r my favorite of Brandford run. Not only for the street running, but my mother passed away 3 year ago from cancer and live in Brandford before I was born. She knew I loved trains and talk about a train going down that middle of the street in Brandford. Thanks again.
Are there no facilities at Ingenia for the loco to run around the train, or is the loop too short for the length of train? It would be heart in the mouth stuff pushing the train back to the main line. Anthony
It's because CN had to do a flying switch to run around, but G&W rules prohibit uncoupling cars in motion, so sometimes SOR has one locomotive on each end of the train
awesome video, but i i wonder y railfans like the burford spur so much, it has a lot of coverage compared to a lot of other spur lines out there, what makes it stand out so much?
Just because it is on borrowed time and unique in that it runs right through downtown. The videos I do of it gets lots of views so must be much interest in it.
canadianfoamer I was down in brantford this summer, but I didn't see the SOR. It really is a great area to checkout and it's rare!! Thankfully guys like railpast here has covered the area so well I do not feel like it will be gone when it's actually gone. I may try next summer!!
TRAINS_4_FUN Ya have a point. this line is so full of history, i bet many 4-4-0s and 2-6-0s passed along these rails over 100 years ago, if only there were photos from back then of it
What time did it come? btw i noticed the trains are getting way longer, looks like business is doing pretty well, i bet CN regrets giving up the spur now lol
When they first took over is was any day but seem to have settled into running Wednesday. Leave the station around 9:30 then head down Clarence, come back a couple hours later.

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it.
Great video. You really do a good job here covering the Burford sub, but all your videos are quite excellent really!
Thanks

CN always did, not sure why SOR does not.

I was looking at the publishing date Oct 5/2016. Oct 5 2016 was a wednesday. I think they are the same date, but I'll wait for railpast response.

I got there at 9:30 and they were already heading downtown.
this would be a fun line to go down on a Speeder or handcar WITH permission & on days when they don't run
Bet the conductor wishes cabooses we’re still a thing... Riding the ladder all the way back has to be a pain... in more ways that one
