Money is the simple answer. If something was to happen to your mirror and if the damage is bad enough you won’t just need buying a new mirror but fixing or replacing the door as well which will put even more money into their pockets.
Imagine if they brought little fly vent windows back on man that would be the coolest thing. I had one in my 80 and in my 82 and then my 83. Now I live in the 88 to 98 body style. And they don’t live in those trucks unfortunately
@@TonyTheTruckGuy maybe someone at the factory mistakenly drilled a hole there and then another said, aah just put the mirror over it. nobody will notice.
By the time you'll need that in 7 - 10 years the air vent motors, seat motors and heaters, and various lights will all be broken in some way, along with the dash looking like a friggin Christmas tree from all the broken stuff on the engine and drive train
My theory is: revisions. Originally it was designed with much smaller aerodynamic car-style windows. When they swapped it out for these huge bricks, the engineers figured the plastic panel wouldn't stand the strain for 20 years.
Is that a cozy wing? Because i loved the cozywings, great ac and great to crack and pull ash of your cigarette of course. Be a fun auto trivia question ( whats a cozy wing or name 5 vehicles that had cozy wings. I imagine many would not know what cozywing is)
Looks like an 8 bit moose
😂😂

The only logical answer honestly lol
Should be the smokers window
Hell yeah the little wing window was king
Put a rubber ducky on your antenna.
We don’t play that rubber duck game here 😂
So the Chevy can look like a 20 year old f350.
No doubt haha
They look like littl legs with huge feet sticking out!!! 😅
I will never unsee this thanks for absolutely nothing 😂
Even their trucks without tow mirrors are like this and it looks arguably even more goofy lol
Apparently ,you haven't seen the Cybertruck.
😄
And we still wont considering the recalls.
Oh I’ve been calling that thing hideous from the moment it debuted years ago 😂
Bro wish he had that truck so bad 😂
Yes…
that's where the wing window is supposed to be.
If only they actually installed them haha

Ugly? Sounds like something funny going on 😂
He must have a Ford 😂.
Who is “he”?
maybe because that humongus mirror needed a bit more support
The mounting surface area is definitely smaller where they have it 😅
@@TonyTheTruckGuy i guess the metal gives better support than the plastic in that frame
@@joshfps8546 There’s metal beneath the plastic. The plastic is simply there as a cosmetic because the mirror is supposed to go there 😂
@@TonyTheTruckGuy maybe someone at the factory mistakenly drilled a hole there and then another said, aah just put the mirror over it. nobody will notice.
@@joshfps8546 Possibly, if the same 2 workers built them all 😂
Crazy how they perfected the GMC this year but not the Chevys. The chevys are straight ugly and feel cheap and the dashboard is WAYYY to tall
Yeah I think the GMC definitely looks better.
Still way BETTER looking than any Fraud.... oh, I mean ford
That’s a tough one for me 😅 I’m not a Ford fan, but that Chevy front end is bad. The GMC is decent imo.
your looking at a 3500...
The 150 has the mirrors in tje corner of the window.
like always!!!@
@@richroeder2541 Lol, nope. New half tons mount in the same spot. Fugly.
I Prefer the door method. Much easier to replace with universal alternatives.
But why would I spend that kind of money on a new truck just to slack some ugly universal mirror on?

@@danielch6662 Yeah but even their non tow style mirrors which are much smaller on their half tons are mounted like this haha. Just awkward.

I wish. Those things kick in a lot of air but sadly it’s literally just a dumb filler panel to cover where the mirror should have been 😂
@TonyTheTruckGuy aww, I thought maybe they brought it back lol
@@nimrodpaul6875Nope 😢
What's the difference if you don't like it? Nobody else is not complaining about it, right.
Nobody else is not complaining? So they ARE complaining, then? Them pesky double negatives…
A hater^
You realize the arrow points to your name, right? 🤣
Lol no shit@TonyTheTruckGuy
Junk
