I road tested this bike at a demo ride for 5-6 hours and loved everything about it, probably the most fun I’ve been on riding a street bike, it’s based off the flat track bike alittle so I had a blast riding it and was looking for a school I could maybe do a few laps around the track, plenty of power to wheelie up to 3rd gear
Rather than pre-ignition, what you're hearing is probably piston slap. High load, low rpm on a short skirt, large bore piston, she's gonna rattle a bit. It would be very odd to have any modern fuel injected engine suffer pinging unless something else was very wrong.
Nice. Might have seen you if I wasn't in Texas that weekend. I don't see many of those FTRs on the road in the Loudon area. I hear you about the cramped riding position though. How did you get your hands on it? Part of a demo?
Nice video! How would you compare it with the scrambler 1200 in terms of power delivery, geometry and handling? I'm 6"5 and the FTR did look a bit small for me. Thanks
What the engine wants is the appropriate gear. No motor "likes" being lugged. And if there's something that can damage a motor is lugging, specially on new motors!!! That's why there is something called a "gear box". Now, on electric vehicles, or automatic vehicles, this is a non issue... LOL.
Naw man! Being the same height, I appreciate taller TH-cam motorcycle reviewers. It’s good to see which bikes are better for us tall people, instead of listening to a short rider go on about seat height and cannot flat foot a basic motorcycle. Keep on for the tall riders BackDraft! 👍

FYI, It has Sachs suspension front and rear not Showa as you mentioed
Sorry about that, this was a r+d bike, noted!
How come you finished on a different bike to the one you set of on?

I think the scrambler is way better, but the FTR is a much different ride. I am 6'4" and the FTR was too small for me.
I’m 5’9 so I’m getting the ftr
Thanks for doing this review. How does this new Indian compare to other naked bikes with sporty intentions? Something like a Speed Triple?
Reckless40 I think it’s very close. The S3 is a little bit more refined, but this is Indians first crack at the type a bike like this
Witchcraft at 3:33
You had the tracker seat. Stock seat is much more comfortable
What’s up with the matrix glitch @3:34
Wow that is really weird. The dude just appears
Thank God you commented this so we didn't have to

Your funny dude. I may have woke some folks up

@@lucylucy5452 ok ok ok, on the track I got it around 110in third gear. It had lots more to go. 🏁
Thanks for this annoying video with stupid sound effects thrown in. 👍🏽
Probably shouldn’t review bikes if you’re 6’4 LOL
Hey watch it...😜
