Despite what an earlier commenter said the blade is clearly correctly oriented. That's not an issue. However building the base to attach to the saw is not needed. A basic saw board l will work just fine without it and is much easier and faster to build. Keep it simple.

Over complicating an easy solution just for views. We need simple solutions for situations that arise, not overly complex requirements just so you get views on TH-cam. Most of these easy "hacks" require equipment that most people don't have, just look at having to have access to grinders and welding equipment to make jigs that are readily available for a fraction of the cost of the equipment alone. I don't need to spend $2000 on equipment to make something I can buy for $15.
