make a research cooperative if you want to minmax, but personally I just rp whichever one is more fitting :) They’re really strong though. Loads of bonuses and a free fleet that the ai make ships for you but you can still design them
There's a button next to the button to make a sector. Click it. Click auto-expand off. Then remove all the systems you don't want to put into the sector.
@@Ep3oI mean if it follows the trend of past expansions, most of them will just be "use this new feature," with maybe 2 to 4 of them requiring more than just playing a certain build on Ironman.
I use to love hegemony/vassal spam but with the death of feudal society it feels sad now. I only use federation now if i'm invited by an AI so I don't need the tradition tree for diplo.
It's not quite 1.0 influence, the UI just rounds it up on the preview. The building gives two Overlord Propegandist jobs which each produce 0.15 influence for a total of 0.3 base influence. It can be boosted some more by high stability and stuff like that. Still worth it imo.
"After 2 sectors they won't bother doing it" had a ai build a starbase 5 sectors into my space.. be watchful they can and will .Edit. i was wrong i had a wormhole that i didn't realize was there. the 5 sector's into my space was wrong... i was tired. sorry for any confusion.
There must have been an extenuating factor (mod/wormhole etc) involved, because it's laid out clearly within \Stellaris\common\defines\00_defines.txt: MAX_EXPANSION_DISTANCE = 2 # Max number of jumps away AI will build starbases MAX_EXPANSION_DISTANCE_SUBJECT = 2 # Max number of jumps away AI subjects will build starbases
@liampouncy7808 must have been a bug then. They are my vassal, and the sector they built on had no special resources or anything in it. And no mods used. .edit. didn't realize there was a wormhole... was wrong..
It would have been hilarious if one of the two preset AI empires you made did a governing ethics shift off-screen, thus making the achievement impossible and invalidating however many hours this run took
I believe you can minimize your sector to just the single system, then vassalize that sector, leaving the one next to it free. So you don't have to spend so much influence. Been a while since I tried that though, could be wrong.
Btw in one of the newer updates you can customize sector size so you can just make the sector be one system and then release it. If you plan to use this strategy in your actual games I'd recommend building crappy habitats in systems with low resources and if you can make species/put species with good leader traits since with the new update you can get leaders from empires you're allied with or have a migration pack.
7:13 Rarely, I found out that the AI will create a new Starbase farther than 2 Systems if they have the Influence for it. Not sure what exactly the requirements are, but a 1 System Vassal of mine once created a new Starbase 10 jumps away.
Honestly I play with mods that double federation growth speed and council resolution speed. Also since I’m doing 0.25 research/tradition cost I usually put the Endgame Crisis to spawn around 2375. Playing turbo forces me to fast click and generally saves dozens of hours in a full campaign.
that was a fun one, you sure did abuse the vassal mechanic i wasnt expecting that to be before year 80. i was wondering, where/when do you stream? i looked at your profile on twitch and it said you hadnt streamed there in years and your last YT stream was 4 months ago ?
Had to stop streaming regularly due to university. Finishing that in September so hopefully will start streaming regularly then! And hopefully 50k / galatron lines up nicely with that haha
i must say, the videos are good man how you do it now! its probably a nightmare for editing but for watching its perfect plus you have some b roll from your gameplay when you explain what is also good
So i have a story to tell about achievements. While trying to min max both the order 67, memorialist and toxic to tomb world achievements…i was on track to get them all. Until i realized i terraformed the toxic world into a tomb world before i colonized it, so now i needed another toxic world. 100 years later after also forcing through the max sanctions, i invade the pesky spiritualists after declaring them a crisis. But then i see the toxic world and decide to retry getting that achievement. But i also needed the extra tomb world for the memorialist achievement which you cant have woth relentless industrialists. Soo i started bombing a world with javorian pox to turn it into a tomb world to rush it along thinking it would happen relatively quickly. I invaded most of the spiritualist worlds, but left one to get at last. But then the AI invades because…crisis…so while i am watching the pops tick down due to my Javorian pox, the empire ends. No achievement for order 67. Because i killed them from space…. And if you havent tried to denounce an empire after being the super power and defender of the galaxy after saving everyone from the awakened xenophobes…it takes a LOT of pountless insulting, claiming, warring, harming relations…aahahah mind melted just as my PC did. Got lots of the achievements but still need order 67. Which i had to save scum 4 times just to make sure a spritualist faction spawned. I think i may take a break dor a while…
I really don’t think the habitable worlds slider does anything…i play on the lowest possible number and have about the same number of habitable worlds!
Ugh civilian difficulty, not interested. I play every game on commodore with double scaling on ironman all the time, and playthroughs that are either cheating without ironman mode, or on a silly low difficulty aren't relevant to my play style. I'm not saying you need to play GA, or even Commodore if you aren't up to it, but come on man, Civilian isn't even interesting.

I think you could build ministry of truth on all vassals giving you +1 influence per vassal which would be sick

Easiest way - wait for the War in Heaven and join the Galactic wide high lvl federation.
What is war in heaven? 1500+ hours (all dlc) playing and never seen it 😢
@OnlineKenji when the fallen empires awaken and start beefing with each other haha

7:03 It’s only reducing the Alloy cost of Outposts, though, not the Influence cost. It’s still useful if you want that.

Doing 1 holding a building a ministry of truth in each vassal would give a lot of influence.
You can spam ministries of Truth on your vassals to influence snow ball.

Slingshot to the Stars origin nigh eliminates the extra influence cost due to distance. Would it make things quicker?
then you don't start with a federation!
You can't get that and the federation start at the same time.
