The first iteration of the Play:5 had 5 drivers and 5 amps hence the name Included 5. But over time they added the 6th driver and amp, yet stuck with the name 5.
Great point my friend, however this caters to a different kind of audience who doesn't want to have a surround audio but more towards the music listening type buddy 😀

Will it be overkill to get a pair of Sonos five ?
Would I be able to use this as a desktop speaker for my Mac mini? apart from connecting via an aux jack.
I would imagine you could select it with Airplay. I’d worry about lip sync, though.

Just saying you can get the sonos beam soundbar for less money and it can be linked to 2 sonos SLs for a surround sound setup
