Taxation is payment for services rendered. Your government may do a lot of things you don't like, but it also provides you with a lot of goods and services that you DO want and use regularly, and could NEVER afford to acquire yourself without the aid of government (unless you're raking in well over seven figures, which we both know you aren't if you're reading this). Your government provides you with these goods and services for YEARS before it ever asks you to pay it anything, and when it does ask you to pay, it only asks you for a fraction of the value of the goods and services you have used (again, unless you're ridiculously rich). Refusing to pay your taxes is like refusing to pay for a meal you've already eaten because you found out that the restaurant owner spends his profits on things you disapprove of. That may be so, but you still owe him for the meal you gladly ate, knowing there would be a bill. So pay up. Taxation is payment for services rendered.

I agree with Greg. The acceptance of a violent ruling class is the problem here. It's not okay to threaten people with imprisonment of death for speech, failing to pay taxes, or any number of non-violent activities. No victim, no crime.
Why is there a law requiring citizens to prove their case in court for recalling an elected official before they can mount a recall effort?? The answer is simple. This law seeks to make sure that only the RICH AND POWERFUL, who can afford a court fight, can mount recall efforts. Most oppressive govt. actions can be shown to benefit a rich minority, who are pulling govt. strings behind the scenes with their money. Just follow the money trail.
There are some who stress that government is a necessary evil. Those that do seem to stress that government is necessary. They seldom realize that they are also admitting that government is, while necessary, also evil. I can understand why the people of Washington State originally wanted this law, as an attempt to counter the Citizens United decision which legalized bribery. But the legislation OVERREACTS, essentially making the legal system unavailable to anyone who DOESN’T have a Citizens United size bankroll. Since legal counsel is an absolute necessity in fighting for one’s rights, the law should AT LEAST be amended to exempt pro bono legal advice from being considered a “contribution” to a campaign. And although Robin’s PRIMARY aim was to get a recall vote passed, her SECONDARY lawsuit was to protect her OWN RIGHT to speech (and as a side effect, to protect the rights of others, INCLUDING the incumbent politician she wanted to recall!), so in a sense, limiting the help she could get in the secondary fight is limiting her right to legal SELF DEFENSE. The fight against CU should be concentrated against SELFISH special interests who are well off and just GREEDY for more; those organizations which are defending themselves and their mission from OBLIVION, and those individuals who are fighting against their own or others’ LIVES or FINANCIAL SURVIVAL, should have more leeway in accepting volunteer help.
A recall election is NOT a lawsuit, frivolous or otherwise. Usually, a recall election takes place when a substantial percentage of eligible voters sign a petition asking for it. The petition demonstrates that enough voters are dissatisfied with an elected official to justify a vote on whether he should be recalled. The courts should not be involved at all. It is NOT a legal issue. It is a case of democracy in action. The Washington law suppresses democracy.

that would be very difficult to pull of because there's two costs you have to over come to obtain an actual net benefit: 1) is the direct cost. That money has to come from somewhere. 2) is the opportunity costs. How much extra economic activity could've resulted from the lack of capital (as a result of taxation). Number 1 is easy to handwave off but number 2 remains mostly unseen. I suspect a lot more people would have a different opinion of the tea party if they noticed it more.

It's not a "paintbrush" statement. Can you explain how a minister who tries to recall a mayor for vetoing a measure that would deny benefits to gay couples would NOT be a bigot? You've confused a recall petition with a recall election. The purpose of a recall PETITION is to show enough public interest in a recall to justify a recall ELECTION. The petition does NOT recall anybody. It just leads to an election, in which, indeed, more than 50% of voters have to approve a recall for it to take place. Why don't you read up on the recall process before expressing anymore opinions about it?

So, what ever became of this? Do people in Washington state have Freedom of Speech yet?
Link in the description.
The plaintiffs were granted a permanent injunction against the defendant preventing the defendant from requiring the plaintiff or any other political committee to report free legal services in federal civil rights lawsuits.
In this country we stand up to them. LOLZ, troll much! Using the court to defeat them is like cutting your throat to defeat a murderer.
LOLZ, troll much!

Is that English? What does it mean?
@@marypoppins2044 It means a spoonful of murderin' helps the politicians stay down!
Probably too graphic for the tube, but we'll see.
that would be very difficult to pull of because there's two costs you have to over come to obtain an actual net benefit:
1) is the direct cost.
I think some could label Bob Ferguson as a domestic enemy.
What if our conservative candidates spoke about these issues this clearly and simply?
Because this type of corruption is non partisan. Democrat, Republican, the alphabet soup of political parties. There will always be some form of government bullying, because people with power sometimes abuse that power.
It is the job of our constitution to protect us from this. If we are able to get our voice heard.
The Libertarians have been speaking to this for over 40 years. Harder to convince someone they've been fooled, than to fool them. Liberal and conservative. Democrat and Republican are meaningless divisive terms for the same flightless ****bird.
What if we stopped voting for slavery. And starting voting on the issue itself ourselves!
@@tropicalco2339 just stop voting.
Keep up the good work....you helping every American wether they know it or not. It's good to see the little person stand up to government tyranny. I and many other will be praying for you . Stand tall and stay tough. This country needs more citizen like you with the will to fight the good fight. God Bless You.😎
The IJ is like a real life super hero organization.
Isn't the government supposed to serve the people? Not oppress them? I wonder what George Washington and Benjamin Franklin would think seeing the way the current government is treating the people?
HEY, folks, you do get this is NOT the Federal Government, but the STATE of Washington, right? Other than that, good luck
Great work! Good luck and let the justice win!!!
Man.. you hear about things like this, and you want to say.. Awesome shes winning, but then its like.. reality sets in.. and your up against the state.. and they use your tax money along with others, so basically they have this infinite coffer of ammo.. and your helping provide said ammo. It makes me sick. Really does.
That is why I like both Judicial Watch and Project Veritas since they are not afraid to go after the big bullies in government. They have stood for so many people who otherwise would not be able to fight back against the bullies from the government. These people are heroes who risk everything going up against such powerful individuals in public office. Thank you for all you do!!
Is it a big secret which person or agency Robin was fighting?
This happened here in El Paso last year, but with far different outcome. There was a vote on benefits for gay couples. The majority voted against it BUT then Mayor John Cook decided he knew better so he later overturned the vote (it so happens that the city attorney was gay) Well, a prominent minister started a recall petition, in which he received about ten times the required signatures. SO the mayor & city council decide that being a minister is the same as being a business entity, which
This is how the game has been played for awhile.
The only difference is that it's out in the open now.
Roaches hate the light.
If you just stopped defining the government as an institution which uses initiatory force, you could classify a voluntary legislative, judiciary, law enforcement, and common defense organization as a government, and then you would be a "minarchist". It's all just semantics.
You make some good points, some of which I disagree with. However, I'm weary of prolonged youtube arguments that change neither party's mind and am ready to let this one end. Thanks for your civility.
Need laws changed that gives protection of bureaucrats from prosecution in civil lawsuits.
It's not a "paintbrush" statement. Can you explain how a minister who tries to recall a mayor for vetoing a measure that would deny benefits to gay couples would NOT be a bigot? (And all who signed his petition would be in the same boat.) Please answer this question logically rather than just resorting to more name calling. Thank you.
Go get em guys!! Keep us posted. Cheers from Chile.
I don't know who or what is behind the Institute, I'd like to thank the institute for all they're doing. I don't have money to donate to them but if I did I'd give him a wheelbarrow full. I am metaphorically looking directly into the eyes of these dedicated public servants while saying thank you!
How did this case get resolved? There's nothing about it in the notes
this is the most terrifying thing I have ever heard in my life
the name itself suggests that it is FOR JUSTICE, in this way if anyone is benefitted it is "a byproduct" not aim.
Thank you. I hope that we don't require your services but it's good to know who to call if we do.
Oh Bravo!!
(I'd sure love to poke my tongue out at the SPLC)

I was facing 7 years in prison Because government employees swore to false reports. They admitted to it, they received promotions. I was offered a plea deal and lost pretty much everything. That's the justice system at work.
A question i looked at your website and it appears your only in AZ, WA, and MN do you defend people in other states and which ones????
3 people have disliked this. They've likely also applied for the FEMA camp guard positions.
Check out where in the Bible people of a certain region are Chastised by one of the Apostles for saying "Let us do Evil that Good may come" You're in good company Greg.
Nothing better than getting punished with your own money
Not a good idea unless you are rich (lawyers) or demorat! (control the court system!)
Go Robin!!!!!!!
We have not been America for a long time now.

16 government employees!

It seems freedom is something we only export to other countries. Inside the US government plays by different rules.
Nice clip, excellent story. Great legal services.
campaign for what? on the basis of this matter or any other single achievement she is not going in polls. or what else is definition of campaign in the eye of law?
We will all be serving drinks on the beach to retired government employees in our golden years.
Great stuff!
Nice one Robin.
Watch it again. Many of the good-guy protesters have darker "skin" too. :)
The privileging of particular points of view such that they, and only they, get to call people "bigot" or "bully" or whatever... that's bigotry and bullying, because it substitutes force for discussion. Discussing the matter at this level of abstraction is impossible in most cases. The attitude seems to be "Hey, we stole the rules fair and square so SHUT UP H8R!". Pfft.
Sounds to me like she was getting a campaign contribution, and got something of value for nothing. Call a spade a spade. Why doesn't she go out and start some free enterprise and pay her own way.
I wonder what happened with this.
Hell yeah!
NOT ENOUGH INFORMATION.
WHICH WASHINGTON? DC IR STATE IF??
WHO IS THE POLITICIAN??
REGARDLESS WE NEED MORE OF THIS TYOE OF CITIZEN ACTIVISM EVERYWHERETO SAVE OUR STATES AND OUR REPUBLIC.
I hate to drag the comments section down to my level but 'Robin' as depicted in this video, looks like Mrs. Puff on Spongebob SquarePants.
Are we talking about Atlas Shrugged? Oh we're talking about America, gotcha. :)
The Washington swamp at work.
I thought this was a New creation, the vid, but its Years old. Will it EVER stop?

Love liberal Washington State.
Public Disclosure Commission is out of its jursidiction- it is for politicians and political parties.

You go girl.
Should we expect anything else from a left-wing state?
Plenty of examples of this is "right-wing" states, too. Partisanship is not going to help fight these battles.
@@orionsghost9511 That's how they get away with this shit. They create this false left-right paradigm to keep us fighting amongst ourselves instead of coming together and tarring and feathering their asses!
great video.
Perhaps because with a cartoon, detractors are less likely to make ad hominem comments about the persons involved, and have to actually think about the issue at hand.
Bravo.
Wait wait wait. If no one could donate more than $800 how many ppl did she have on her side? Just one. By changing the law it sounds like what you really did was just make it easier for rich ppl to start recall campaigns against politicians/elected officials they dont like and they can do it with just one rich person backing them. As an example if the lawyers cost 8000 that's only 10 ppl contributing the max amount or 100 ppl contributing 80 bucks. Idk this whole thing seems fishy. Also who cares if you were campaign contribution. You did it for free, so you contributed $0. You can't say how much a lawyer has to charge or should have charged. Again this all seems very fishy. Almost like an add for Citizens United, which is the reason only rich ppl and corporations get the laws they want passed while what the ppl want doesn't matter.
Smush ‘em!
