Maybe he should try to audition for a marvel parr

Because he refused to participate in their 'team-building' ritual... involving a naked little kid... if you know what I mean
driss87 hes a high school sweet heart from Brother André :)
I feel his sadness and despair. But , He ll definitely be alright. He is a very skilled actor with beautiful personality. Something amazing will come along, I am sure.
fatma bahri honestly i feel sad for him 2 because simply he’s talented and he’s not finding a role while actually there’s so many actors nowadays getting roles and have zero talent
@@HalaHanz I concur. Hollywood can be operating superficially. Patience, grit, and trust are all that is needed.
The sadness and despair of being filthy rich off just one movie, and not getting to make millions more immediately after? Something amazing already did come along, he'll be fine. Your all talking about him, precisely because he has already achieved celebrity status. Where's the necessity for pity here?
@@Absolynth But his passion is acting and how would you feel if you couldn't even get a chance at your passion. Sure he has lots of money but it's still not fair because he has skill and still doesn't get a single audition. Just try to think about it this way, you love your job and at one point you get the opportunity of your lifetime which will help you progress further in your career so you do it. After the experience, you don't get any more opportunities like that and you know that you have the skills for it that your coworkers don't yet they still get more opportunities. Sure you have lots of money but deep down it's frustrating and disheartening. After all that, you can't pursue your passion, your job.
He is soooooo handsome.
We ALL know why he’s not getting roles.
google Hot Arab Porn and you’ll know handsome means.
Hollywood has been shunned multiple times for excepting actors based purely on their looks and you’re saying they should continue that trend ?
Mr Woosh you think a TH-cam comment is gonna change what Hollywood is doing?
Also, I made 2 separate statements. He’s talented. I’m not saying he should only get roles because of his looks.

@@Gem-wo2jk Exactly ... to recreate a Disney classic in live action you have to be a good actor. If not, they would not have chosen him to be Aladdin. In my opinion.
I don’t necessarily think he’s desperate-sounding. Mena is way too talented, he will eventually get more auditions.
i pray for that
I think he gotta start acting in Indie movies, is a good way to rebrand yourself. Or maybe if he is able to get to act in any tv series would be nice.
I hope he gets films where this apparent talent can actually be seen. He was forgettable and bland in Aladdin. But I bet it was poor casting/directing more than just him of course.
He’s awesome, one of the most spectacular actors in recent years.
Oh I agree hes talented but that definitely dies sound very desperate and cry babyish....he sounds like someone upset because he hasn't gotten anything else and hes bringing his race in....that's not a good look for him if hes trying to get roles. Producers arent going to wanna hire him talking that way publicly.
Mena Massoud is *EVERYTHING* Hollywood must give him more role being an actor lemme clear again... *HIS EVERYTHING*
It’s cause he’s worked for Disney. They seem unfair with their main actors in their films. They paid the voice of Snow White $800 back in the day and for her never to lend her voice in anything else. Disney is strict mannn
Ya but he had good talent and did his role well but I guess a lot of hollywood acting places are racist and it is sad because he has really good talent!
Lol not $800 💀💀😭
wasn't that in 1937 tho lmao
Honestly he's to good for Hollywood, at first I had my doubts about him, but damn he was a good actor
I don't understand why he wouldn't get a role, he's really attractive and well liked. He'll get there eventually ☺
Chloe Zafonte okay, people like him and he’s attractive.. and? what about his acting skills?
@@astoldbynickgerr He's a good actor as well, I don't see anything wrong with it.
IMO if they make a live action princess and the frog, he should definitely play him.

Its definitely not about looks in Hollywood, it's about race. It's always going to be about that.
100% the only brown guy that has ever starred in a movie was that dumb stuber movie. Asian and brown guys never get placed in hollywood. All the actors are white. i believe he will do great and he will succeed.
And black tbh
@@sunshinex2012 i agree, but here's the thing in america, racism is just black and white, all the time. Brown guys and asians are left out and nobody says anything... I'll give you an example: people are way more relaxed and willing to make fun of brown people and asians but very aware when making fun of black people. They will look around and make sure they aren't offending anyone, but asians get treated like crap in public and no one cares, because there isn't history in america.
@@hans3331000 that's very true very good thinking
Nobody is playing a victim, just standing up for my people. I have made a good life here and contribute to my community and work, so I'm not a victim, but i can't ignore the racism in general. People like you are to blame for why this stuff is still happening.
jim halpert I mean he was great in Aladdin but when you think about it he wasn’t the “star” of the movie. He may have been the title character however the people that are most remembered for the performance in the movie was Will Smith and the person who portrayed princess jasmine. Princess Jasmine knew how to really sing which is why I knew she would get more role yes she was the best one to come out of it in terms of performance will smith been already the establish star really carried the Aladdin movie so obviously since he already is big to begin with he was going to get more role. But when it comes to the guy who played as a lad and he just got lost in to other stars overshadowing him. That really what am down too. I’ll give you an example Michael Biehn a.k.a. the guy who played Kyle Reese in Terminator one he played the hero as well too but guess who got the stardom the villain Arnold Schwarzenegger and then of course James Cameron got pretty big as well too but Michael Biehn was really left out in terms of breaking out as a big time star in the 80s. I simply just think it was a case of he was overshadowed by the other actors. Even though he was playing the title character.
honestly he’s such a great actor. these hollywood producers are actually missing out. he deserves SO much more.
It's because he's not entertaining the evil stuff in Hollywood.
Aladdin is the first big break that he has had, and even though he did a fine job as Aladdin he needs to just keep hustling. He will get there eventually.
You have no idea how discouraging and heartbreaking it is to not be even able to enter an audition room until you've experienced it. When acting is your God given passion and dream it tears you apart as you search endlessly for days finding no one casting. Props to him for still holding on, especially with that being his job. Keep going strong and trust, God has a plan.
I don’t wanna send hate, but I’m pretty sure if his skin was white he would’ve had a lot of roles by now.
Exactly
Fat Thor Don’t worry, you’re not sending hate. You’re just being honest. :)
Hollywood attacks again. It's their thing.
My theory (1) none white character is already limited and (2) people assume he is a big star now and very expensive
If he was black you 4 wouldn’t Evan care
Mena massoud He's the best and good actor for aladdin role so there's nothing even wrong with it.😊😊
So I think that he is the best and we all fans say he is the best for it and they shouldn't reject him at all because Hollywood cannot get a better actor to fit in the role for Disney's Aladdin than him and daz lookslike Disney's aladdin and really truly suitable for dis role and also sing and can dance too. SO HOLLYWOOD NO REJECTION TO MRBA MASSOUD NO NO NO REJECTION..!
I min 2 say no rejection to mena massoud Hollywood
Because he already played the only brown character Hollywood will ever need.
leonardo899 sad
He should change his religion and convert...then he would get roles for sure
@@pankajy4437 what are you talking about!? He is already a Christian. He was never a Muslim. Not every Arab is a Muslim. I guess you would have to change that to change his ethnicity.

@@pankajy4437 he put such name because he's Arabian and Massoud is Arabic. Educate yourself
Because he's not ethnically ambiguous enough, duh. Rami Malek looks like he could be latinx, Ben Kingsley and Naomi Scott look white (even their names sound white). How many unapologetically middle Eastern celebrities do we even have? Shakira? Please, her Lebanese background is constantly erased. Salma Hayek? Same, Lebanese background never mentioned. Shakira did her zaghrouta once and everyone lost their damn minds. Clearly there isn't enough middle Eastern cultural representation in mainstream media 🙄
Ben Kingsley actually has an Indian name but he changed it at some point, perhaps for the sake of his career
@@theemirofjaffa2266 exactly. He shouldn't have to do that but the fact that he had to is really sad
Everything you say is true. Fact that they always get mixed race or look as if actors/actresses to play a fixed race role is telling. They can be marketed to Western audiences yet still pass off as true to the story.
@KolTony she can be both. The fact that she did the zaghrouta means she's still very much in tune with her Lebanese side as well. But how often is her Lebanese side highlighted in the media?
@KolTony Don't be so naïve as to think this image of hers isn't being crafted, marketed, and sold to the masses. I'm of dual ethnicity as well so it's not like I don't know the struggle of keeping both identities when one is being dominant due to the place I live in. Therefore I'm only saying that she is not just Colombian *but* she's not allowed to be anything other than Colombian. If someone were to say Lebanese music is selling wouldn't she be pressed to make Lebanese music as well? She is what's being sold and accepted, that's what I am saying.
He should do small screen roles, to keep money flowing.
Invest in writers, a production team and etc and create his own movies.
Open doors for other brown people
Yes yes yes!!
It’s sad to hear stories like this in Hollywood.
A sad reality that needs to be changed, Mena Massoud acts fine, yet judged by his ethnicity.
Yea it's very sad that there are still racist people at Hollywood.
@@Blue14Studios Who are the racist people in Hollywood?
@Lady Wander Hollywood is a business, and America is mostly white people. If black women became a more profitable demographic, then you would start seeing many more movies produced for them. Sorry that's way less sensational to hear, but there it is.
It's true, hearing about someone making millions upon millions that I willn ever see in my entire life, just for that person to find out they can't keep making millions upon millions more immediately after the previous millions, but he might have to wait a bit. Just tragic lol
How is it that a young, very good looking and talented young man is struggling to get a role? sounds like a racist thing....
@Prince of this world Above Blacks What?!
@Prince of this world I don't think so :/ I could name you plenty of movies where there are Black actors, as well as mentioning their names. Regarding Middle Eastern people... It's a whole other thing
Mena isn't black, he has olive skin. His skin isn't as dark as Will Smith's.
Even Naomi Scott, she got a role in the Charlie's Angels thing. Her and Ella Balinska are completely ignored because Kristen Stewart is in the cast and everyone is talking about HER only. I swear I had to read an article about "Charlie's Angels" talking about Stewart ONLY, not mentioning Ella or Naomi.
@@MARYWTHER I haven't even seen Charlie's Angels
Oh my goooooosh!!! He is even more beautiful in real life than in the movie. He is one beautiful man 😍😍😍😍
For him to be cast, they need to have roles for browns. Most Hollywood movies don't have roles for browns
'fraid so
Well, yes, but why would they? It's North-American production.
@@BojanTomic exactly
True. They fill the “diversity” slot with mostly mixed black actors and now East Asians are getting representation in recent years.
Almost no representation for brown people and not much POSITIVE representation for dark-skinned black people.
I think the problem is having roles for whites, blacks, browns, yellows, etc.. I mean, if your movie is not about slavery, any specific culture or superheroes/videogames, why are there specific roles for each color? If I were a movie director, I would give the roles to the best actors besides their colors. For me, this is the most logical thing to do.
Okay that movie is not even a year old... maybe it's a bit early for "HOLLYWOOD WILL NEVER CAST HIM AGAIN", don't you think?
He would probably get cast again I'm sure. The word "never" shouldn't be there. But I understand if he's worried about this bcs there are lots of other actors who got to act in another movie or show IMMEDIATELY after one of their biggest role. Like Naomi Scott, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard and more. So it's quite frustrating to be in his place.
Kaiaya. Smartest comment here. Well said!
Thats A LOT for actors.

Not necessarily his skin colour more so his ethnicity because blacks or Hispanic with his colour can get a lot of roles and there is only one role for middle eastern male and we all know what is

I think it’s because Alladin was such a huge success... and now he’s look is “too Alladin” for other characters right now. @@annisa8863 It's a real issue, it's called Typecasting. And you can't compare him to Mena, he'd had big hits before Titanic, people didn't associate him with Jack Dawson very much.
People who were typecasted usually play similar characters, like Jackie Chan, Steven Seagal, or Adam Sandler. Unfortunately, Aladdin was a very specific role, it's hard to find another place for him at the moment.
I'm sure he'll be fine, once his "Aladdin" persona washes off, directors will start considering him for another role.

I actually just watched Aladdin the other day and I thought he did a great job! I don’t have any prior bias as I haven’t watched any prior renditions of this story! I hope he lands other acting gigs!
Thank God I found this video. Because when I saw this movie, I immediately thought about it. Why have I never seen this actor before? he has talent, he is super handsome ...
We all know where all racists will probably end up..... Hell.
Muhammad Hassan Only God decides that.
@@Mp3tjuh thats why i said probably
Probably end up lol, No, but they will end up in the same place as everyone else will eventually, which is a 6 foot deep whole or an urn on someone’s fireplace.
He needs to be patient and good things will come.
He's proven already his ambition by landing a big movie and even landing any role in Hollywood.
He can do it again.
Even the biggest stars go through lows or dry periods - he's still young.
Plenty of time to shine.
He's actually very brave to say that
Man I loved him as Aladdin. He's so beautiful 😍😍😍 c'mon hollywood.
I'd cast him any day once I manage to become a director
