Taree DUI Lawyer appears on Drug Driving Matter & gets No Conviction or Disqualification

Recently our #TareeLawyers attended Taree Local Court on an offence of Drive with illicit drug present (Cannabis). This is an offence where traces of drugs have been found in a drivers saliva or blood despite them not being affected of impaired by the drug at the time of driving. This offence is becoming far more common within the community due to the ease of testing by police.
We were able to present a compelling case on sentence which saw the Court grant our client the indulgence of a Conditional Release Order under section 9(1)(b) of the Crimes (Sentencing Procedure) Act 1999.
This meant our client could resume driving but she was placed in a good behaviour bond for 9 months.
