@@Tomy_Yon Yeah that one is also good. Hard to find the version on youtube I remember though... I have one that sounds like the "culture beat remix" version but shorter. The one I remember playing on the radio as a teen.

Now we have really stepped into the Naughties, Shamen has made some of my absolute favorite dance hits (as with KLF) uplifting music always brings a smile to my face. Unfortunately, the long-haired band member Will Sinnott drowned during the filming of this particular video 🙏

I'm 44 and this song was the jam in the early 90s! So cool the younger millennials and Gen Z are discovering it!
Ernest indie group drops some E's and transitions to another plane. Love it. The optimism of that time still warms the heart.
What I love is Colin's main vocal. It's such a trope of 90s techno/dance to have a male rapper and a female singer, and this goes against that, even though Shamen use that formula in other songs.

It was a strange period in time for electronic music in Scotland and the U.K. in general. There were bands like Jesus Jones that did the live instruments and some programming and there were those like the Shamen and when rehearsing songs like this it was amazing to be able to get to grips with it. The other major songs were Ebeneezer Goode, Phorever Strong, and my two fave tracks Indica and Something About You

This is actually the 91 remix of the track. There is another original video for this which is pure 90s. Check it out. Also check out their other tracks, such as 'Boss Drum', 'LSI', 'Ebeneezer Goode', 'Phorever People' and others. Æ 🙏
The Shamen along with Erasure were my favourite group of this era. Move any Mountain was the breakthrough track from the album En Tact (and I have the cd you mention with all the samples!); however you should check out Hyperreal, which was their first real hit and is an amazing track. They also did a track called Omega Amigo which didnt reach the UK top 40, but nevertheless is an amazing track I'm sure you'd love!. They became more mainstream following this, and they are particularly best known for a track called Ebeneezer Good, but other releases from the album Boss Drum were superior in my opinion; Phorever People and LSI were the stand out tracks!. You should definitely react to more Shamen!:)
Move Any Mountain, and most of their other songs were really about one thing : stuffing oneself full of drugs. (hence the extatic, upbeat lyrics...)

I remember when this song came out in 1990. In So Cal, only 106.7 KROQ and 91.1 in San Diego were playing it.
You could only hear it on air in Houston when 104 KRBE or 93Q was broadcasting from a club, but, man, it was never not in rotation for weeks. Great sound, great times.

Pronounced shay-men. Saw them twice in club shows, Moby opened for them in one show, and Utah Saints for the other show. They were fantastic!
These old rave tunes here in England in warehouses and old disused building's holding illegal all nighters round about this time aka acid house hundreds of people up and down the motorway looking for the place to be many happy time's had.🇬🇧😎👍👍

Came across this and as a clubber in england in the 90s, bands like the Shamen, 808 State, The prodigy make no sence unless you are doing EbenE'Z are good.

Was a big fan of them back in the day, but whoo, this has not aged so good imo. Borderline cringe. But hey if it makes you happy still then great ❤
Saw The Shamen a few times; the first being in Aberdeen back in late 1986, I think. They were not like this at all, though, believe me. Great tune, though. I'd recommend everything up to En-Tact. After that, it's not so enjoyable for me. Ebeneezer Goode was truly awful and made No.1 in the UK. Still, it made me laugh that they got away with singing 'Es are good, Es are good' on Top of the Pops!
