Thanks for the comment buddy. It was a repair. It had an active fault on the gate selection actuator, This part is not serviceable and due to the truck being under warranty, it was replaced for free as opposed to the customer paying for it. I went over the other components as no information existed at the time on TH-cam for ZF TRAXON. Unfortunately, none of these parts are serviceable like AS-TROINC and have to be replaced. Replacing the part gives the customer 12 month's parts and labour warranty instead of throwing a seal in a piston like on AS-TRONIC and hoping it doesn't develop another fault next week 😅
Nice video again. In As-tronic all modulator components are suited in one case. Here they splitted it and changed manufacture from Wabco to Knorr. It`s strange for me because ZF bought Wabco :D However problems with Knorr begins so early before 200k km :(
Thank you for the reply! Yes As-tronic was good that you could remove the ECU and all the components to do with it in one go but getting the actuators to line up afterwards was not fun! But you look what's required now with TRAXON when you think you have a seal broken.....gearbox out and the valve assembly to remove behind the clutch actuator now.
Engineers from ZF hate us.. In As-Tronic modulator fitment main,gate and range forks are visible, only for splitter you need a bit concentration. How many km clutch lasts in Traxon in a normal lorry (2nd category regional transport) I think that is better to change seals when you change clutch and clutch actuator.

@@TRUCKTECHUK we don't DAF dealer over in Ghana . We have some euro 6 with traxon gearbox and it is hard to diagnose this gearbox with no info about this traxon

My car's gearbox is a Traxon, and when the gearbox is completely cold, there is no problem, but when it warms up a little, just warm not hot the gearbox starts to knocking, and this knock makes a relatively loud noise from the seventh to eighth gear. The diagnostic device has nothing. It doesn't show any problem, I'm really confused, please help me
@@TRUCKTECHUK The gears are good, it's really a strange problem, but in the range of engine speed below 14, there is a rattling sound, after 14 or 15, there is no sound, and I don't know why, when the gearbox is cold, there is no sound. The sound of other gears seems normal, but the sound from the seventh gear to 8 is worrying, from 9 to 8 is also good, from 6 to 8 is almost good, only 7 to 8 is a bit too much, and if I press the accelerator pedal all the way, the problem is solved when I press 20% of the accelerator pedal and I try to drive normally, it makes noise

Hi mate, yes the vehicle hasn't had any issue with gear selection since the replacement so I can only think it was a bad gate selection actuator. In regards to a PDF, non of this information is available. it's all my own interpretation content from manufacturers traning, I suggest you stay tuned for more videos lol

Hi, thanks for the comment. Sounds like you need to strip your gearbox down and have a look at your gear in high-range. 😵💫

be very careful with TraXon gearboxes. only Ecodrive Transmissions have the capability to fully rig test these in the UK (apart from ZF themselves)
