- This original video with many other Boss Rage/Fighting History episodes were removed earlier this year due to copyright issues. I've been going back to archived classic footage to restore as many old episodes as I can if the original assets were still available. Luckily, I had most of Smash Wii-U BOSS RAGE! This is probably my favorite Boss Rage, if only because it encapsulates the Hero's Journey.
Max had a goal he set out for himself, and he ran into numerous obstacles in the way. He understood the structure of the challenge and found a way to finish it all. He let his pride get the best of him, and it blew up in his face. Realizing the error of his ways, he accepted his flaws, embraced them, and came back into this challenge a new man, and this time, he won.
The musical arrangements and Max's narration of this whole thing really help establish that narrative, and it makes it so much more enjoyable and emotional to watch. One of the many reasons why I think he's one of the best content creators out there.

Just wanted to tell you this, Max....Thanks for making such incredible content. The thing is, you put far more effort into the simple stuff that most people wouldn't even care about. That's what I adore about your videos...But especially your Boss Rage videos. You get so damn dramatic with everything you do and craft miniature stories around each one that makes it so that, even if you've never played the game in question before, you enjoy the hell out of it when watching it in Boss Rage. My favorite Boss Rage vid you ever did was with God Rugal. That shit was INSANELY fun to watch and I enjoyed every minute of your script and character dialogue. The perfect mixture of seriousness and comedy. JUUUST enough of each to keep me invested. You're a damn good content creator, Max, and never let any fucktoid tell you different.

I think everyone learned a valuable lesson in this footage....During the most difficult fights, never EVER expect it to be over when you have the upper hand...Or else you might get launched off your winning podium.

Thank you for putting the time in to re-edit and re-release one of your BOSS RAGE! videos, I hope you can do the same to the rest. They're an important part of your channel. That Kamikazee Master Core thing was on the back of my mind the whole time. I couldn't handle the difficulty of Smash Wii U's harder stuff but I had an inkling that that was coming. I couldn't remember but I was sure I'd heard about it somewhere!!

I'll never forget how in the Advent Children Movie, seeing for the first time Sephiroth knocking Cloud away *sky high* reminded me so much of a *SUPER* Smash Bros knock back and now he's ACTUALLY IN THE GAME and seemingly here to stay?
