And Canada and New Zealand and Australia. For some reason the US doesn't willing or able to field a pipe band of world championship ability. I've been a piper here for decades and there's PLENTY of amazing pipers. I don't get it.
A lot of resentment here from the Scots . In fact , the second best pipe band in the world are probably St Lawrence O' Toole , from Dublin . Pick the rest out from Shotts and Dykes, Simon Frasier Memorial , Canada , and afew others.

What drone reeds are played and which chanter and chanter reed?
They play Kelt drone reeds which gives them the powerful strike in sound. Pretty sure it’s Chesney copper chanter reeds.

They're not Scottish, they're from Northern Ireland. The Field Marshal Montgomery Pipe Band are the best pipe band in the world.
