    Journalists commenting on the economics of nuclear power? As Dimery implies - if nuclear power was legal, then private investors can determine if it is economically viable, if they are willing to invest. Australia can then determine if there is social license to deploy it. Noting polling indicates that more than 50% of Australians are in favour of nuclear power to address emissions reduction.

    Even before getting to Cui bono, ask: WHY is all this necessary? Emissions of ... CO2. Not pollution. Not energy insufficiency. Not even energy cost (ESPECIALLY cost). CO2 is NOT a problem now or even ever, as far as human production is concerned. Destroying energy efficiency, sufficiency and economy on the altar of sacrifice for the greater good leads to the Cui bono part. We pay. They profit. Any loss is socialized, subsidized or otherwise forgiven at a future date. Look into the real numbers and find that we devised excellent energy sources and we are now replacing them by what some would call, flim-flammery.
