I met Monica when I worked at the Bloomingdales in Lenox Mall. She was so nice to me. She stopped me and asked me to help her. I almost cried in the back room looking for shoes for her kids. It was such an honor to work with her that day.
Monica is R&b royalty fr. She’s criminally underrated and I’ll never understand why! Girl got hits under her belt and a strong fan base! I think she’s too real for the industry! The industry been giving her fake tulips for too long, she definitely deserves her flowers!

She has not properly maintained her voice similar to whitney they both just went on the natural.greatness of their voice but without proper care and technique it will deteriorate
Additionally monica does not have any other avenue shes not a writer not a producer not an actor
So there is nothing to rate except her cutrent singing and performance state which is very subpar so

Music is Undeniable she has a decent catalouge but shes never grown as an artist and her voice quality is terrible

I have seen Monica at least 3 times in concert. She is a solid performer, always putting on a good show. Very talented singer.
100% agree. I have always loved her music growing up and I listen to her on pandora. I didn’t keep up that much in college and after I graduated medical school. I saw her perform twice this year and I have been amazed each time. I am now a dedicated fan trying to catch up. She is a legend in my eyes and very talented.

You’re welcome, I was over at Lovers and Friends stage up close when Ciara and TLC performed. I left that area after the fight and then came back after Monica performed.

@@reggiegeorges5850 ha ha. It’s unclear where the fight started among concert goers in general admission, I believe near Monica’s stage but well before she performed. It led into a stampede towards the lovers and friends stages where Ciara and TLC had finished performing. I wasn’t surprised as we were in the heat all day plus a large crowd.

This had to be stage 3 or 4. I know it wasn't the main stage of 1 and 2. I was working stage 1 Saturday night. I am one of the many entertainment professionals who helped put this festival together.
It was the Crunk stage next to Bling stage. Never said it was the main stage. I was there all day walking to all 4 of them.
Is the fest coming back next year?? Hope so! Thank you for all your hard work, this was amazing for a music lover of these artists/era/music. Please, please bring this lineup for part 2 next year!

Ooh, a tour with this big lineup would amazing! If they could somehow get Bey, Jay, Diddy to join, that would definitely be icing on the cake. They would make their money 3x’s over with the roster.

She can rock any style with her hair. Her wardrobe usually be on point too. Love how she is versatile regardless. Now it was hot in Vegas, I don’t know how she wore that coat but she did that!

Now don't get me wrong, I love Monica, she is a very classy, intelligent, respectful lady. But I am just commenting on the out fit and hair which did not stand out for Monica. This wasn't the main stage. The audio speakers weren't as high as they were on the main stage. The trusses are much lower then they were on stage 1 and 2.

A lot goes into live performances especially outdoors, so many variations especially with multiple artists to make adjustments for. It's hard to pinpoint everything from acoustics to echos with different sound engineers, gotta go with what you got at events like these. Most genres outside of R&B are heavily music driven aside from vocally driven. She did good if you know live from studio.

@@anthonyterrell4952 well I say it’s likely environmental. This was the first lovers and friends festival. Her performance was delayed due to a possible fight and then other performances overlapped when it restarted. She sounded amazing to me and it’s my second time hearing her perform this year.

Yes there were issues with sound on all of them. Others that went noticed it too. But overall it went well for their first lovers and friends concert. 50 artists were scheduled and most of them came. ❤️That lineup was 🔥

Before she came on, we were worried because we could hear Ludacris, Lil Jon, and Usher performing nearby on their stage very loudly. There was a fight scare prior, which threw everything off schedule and some of the performances overlapped. When she came out, I could no longer hear their performance but maybe she could through her earpiece. I don’t think none of us could tell because she sounded amazing.

I love her band! There is a video on TH-cam of her performing in Texas with shorts and a blue jacket, they sounded amazing there. Check it out. They also sounded amazing in my Charlotte video on this channel. It was definitely crazy in the atmosphere prior to their performance with a possible fight and some got trampled on due to others running. Plus some performances overlapped, performing at the same time because of it. Not saying it all could relate but possibly. I still enjoyed the performance though.
The band was not present for this performance. This was a track performance. So no WE were not off beat. LOL. We weren't there.

Monica's vocal quality is nowhere near where it used to be. It's not as strong and she wasn't hitting those notes like she used to. Maybe she hasn't been training her vocal chords and practicing breathing techniques.
She sounds off and slow in this performance dragging not on point shes not herself not a good performance pick up the beat
