This song is the first song I've ever written that was inspired by someone. While visiting a friend out of state, we got to talking about her grandmother, who in her 30's, as a mother of 9 children, lost her eyesight. Her husband had a cattle farm in the next town over, so most days he was gone from early morning until late at night. She taught herself to cook, clean, and take care of the kids. She would pick out her outfits by the feel of the fabric. When my friend, as a child, would come to visit her, she would follow her grandmother around the house with her eyes closed, using her fingers to feel her way along the walls. Something she still occasionally does now that she lives in the same house her grandmother did. After hearing this, and visualizing that powerful image of a little girl following her grandmother down the very same hallway I was standing in, I sat down at the old piano in her house, and started to "walk" my fingers along the keys, in the same cautious, yet trusting manner I imagined their fingers walking along those walls. It wasn't long before I had a very simple melody, that over the course of the next 2 months turned into this song. So I dedicate this one to Rose, the strongest woman I unfortunately never got the chance to meet. Rest In Peace.

You aren’t just writing a beautiful song anymore you are writing emotions and we feel every little bit of them in every note of every chord and it is magnificent and heartwarming and the backstory is truly inspiring and people could really learn a thing or two from it, that no matter what you situation is, you can use it to your advantage and no matter what obstacle block your path, you can always overcome them.

Rose was a piano teacher I had that was trying to teach me enough to get me into the 2025 world Chopin competition. She was the only person that believed in me back then but she got cancer, she kept trying to teach me but one day she stopped answering. It broke my heart and left me feeling venerable and hollow.

I am a carer of my beautiful niece who has downs syndrome as well as a debilitating eye condition " Keratoconus " with only 10% vision.
I admire her acceptance of life and it's challenges, the love and gratitude to those who love her, loving them unconditionally. She is my hero, the love of my life. I want to follow her example of how we should be as human beings.

I have listened to this many, many times. I immediately start praising Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior everytime. He saved my soul thirteen years ago. I asked Him to cleanse me of my sins, repented and asked Him to forgive me. I now follow Jesus in my bible and walk the narrow path to heaven. Before I was headed to eternal life in hell. In the bible John 3:3 says one must be "born again" to see the kingdom of God." Jesus died on the cross many years ago to help people on this earth to be with Him in heaven for our eternal life and not in hell with Satan. The bible tells all. Ask Jesus to come into your life repent of your sin, humble yourself. No need to go to a church you can find Jesus in your own home and read your bible everyday. Be sincere and your life will have a new beginning, holy and new! The Holy Spirit will teach you. The earth as you see it is getting darker and darker. Weather patterns are changing for more catastrophes. Disasters will be on earth. We have seen samples of this already. Don't hold back to call on Jesus or you may forget and lose your chance to find heaven. The whole earth is in trouble and the Lord Jesus is the only way to find eternal life in heaven. The Lord is looking for a personal relationship with you not a religion.

Rose must have been quite a beautiful person to inspire such an amazing song. I am enjoying your music so much! Songs like this remind me of my mom, whose name was not Rose (though her only surviving sibling is). She loved roses, and had a deep love for our Blessed Virgin Mother who is said to have been near if one suddenly smells roses out of the "clear blue." Just seeing the word or a picture of the flower will trigger lots of great memories, as does this song. Thank you!

I am taking lessons, but I am no natural, so I learn slowly (something about old dog, new tricks), however I have been playing Touch of Rose a lot ever since getting the sheet music, and I just adore that song.
