What a great video !!!! Mine are just starting to bulb. Both colors. Going to definitely try them your way. Really nice soothing voice too. Thanks Dave
When using the food processor to shred or slice, remove the bottom blade. I did the exact same thing Mama Hoss did and it made my hash browns more like mashed potatoes. lol
I’m a first-time kohlrabi grower and appreciate the multiple ways you prepared them. Appreciate your knowledge. Thanks for sharing! Happy New Year!! -DB
Thanks for the video. We've been growing kohlrabi from your seeds for two years and love them. Will try fermenting as we've been doing veggies as well. Our favorite way with kohlrabi is for a potato alternative (we're keto) and use them in making hash browns and had Scalloped kohlrabi with a Christmas ham. Everyone loved it and you wouldn't know there were no potatoes in the dish.
Planted some of the Kossak variety this year and I'm just about to harvest. I believe running the kohlrabi thru a cheese grater might suit you best instead of the food processor if you're looking for a consistency of sour kraut. And the 5 tbsp of salt seemed a bit excessive for just 4 cups of water. But it was nice to see you also harvesting the greens as well.
Do you have a date when the HOSS/DeWitt pre-laid out garden mat with irrigation is going to be released? Been keeping my eye out and can't wait to put our order in! 🤗
Thank you for the fermented kohlrabi idea. I will definitely be giving it a try. Have you tried cooking rutabaga greens? I tried them for the first time last year and they are now my new favorite.
I just eat the bulb raw with hummus then treat the greens like collards. Ive got a few locals hooked on em now that they know what those weirdo flying saucer things are.
All I can say is WOW! You certainly have made my mouth water, it all looked so delicious! I wish I had some…. Best wishes sent to y’all to enjoy a Happy New Year! 🎊 Thanks for sharing this wonderful video! 👍
Everything looks good. Can you please do a video on how to grow them. I also the variety you gave us on how to prepare them Happy new years to you and your family
I don't know what processor you have so I don't know your attachments but to shred veggies without making a sauce, there should be a top blade that spins just below the lid... leaving the bottom for falling schnibbles. I wonder how that pickle would work with a bread and butter recipe.. hmmm. I haven't had kohlrabi .. is it closer to rutabaga or jicama?
Some respectful constructive criticism: Please change intro sound as we put volume up high to hear you, and then the quality of the music at the intro is quite low so it hits badly on the ears 👂 🎶 thank you
For me,I had to turn up the volume all the way, but then the theme music blasted me out of my chair. I agree that they could play with volume mixing. Turning up her volume level and equalizing out the banjo
Thanks for this video
I just made 2 jars fermented kohlrabi for the first time.
I’ll let you know in 2 weeks how it turns out
great
Love your cooking videos!! Such a calm demeanor
Thank you!! 😊

Our pleasure!
Thank you for showing ways to use kohlrabi. Fermentation looks interesting. I've only done pickles and kraut and need to explore other recipes.
My pleasure 😊
Gonna have to try this in the fall. Never grew or ate these
Thanks, I wasn't sure how to cook this.
Glad I could help!

So sorry to hear that your mom passed Greg. My sincere condolences.

Good video ! Thanks !
Thanks Kenny
I think you gotta grate it and squeeze the water out first.

Can you please explain how you made your rosemary olive oil.
Will do a video on it for you
What about just everyday use . How do you use it in everyday
Just like any other root vegetables. Raw, roasted

😎
Please adjust the sound………I turned it up to hear you……then the sound you added is very loud! Good info…thank you.
Noted!

Can you speak louder please
The volume was fine for me

I eat it raw
Great recipes but those knife skills were scaring me. Might want to sharpen that chefs knife
