A dam good attempt at that victory, actually made a good job whichever owner got her 2 that stage, now u have twice the enjoyment of the model, excellent show sir
About to start this model, I installed a cover over the capstan on the real ship when I worked in a joinery shop. Great to add a little something to this true piece of naval history.
Your videos are fabulous! History, model-making, just superb! As for the HMS Victory, it looks superb and I'm glad to see the masts slowly getting built! Do not worry about time, as Rear Admiral Cunningham said - it takes three years to build a ship, it takes three centuries to build the tradition!
Be thankful you didn’t put the copper on. I When I did The Pickle I wasn’t sure if there was more than one layer of copper there. I tried a Victory many years ago from an Italian company. No CNC in those days.
Sounds like you have a lot of clean up and some minor repair to do as you move forward. It's a huge ship with thousands of hours of work that no doubt is a labor of love. Look forward to more updates. When it's done, do you have a place to display it?
If you think HMS Victory is difficult to build, try building the Sovereign of the Seas with all its carvings made by hand. That is truly a greater challenge. The DeAgostini Victory is a splendid ship.
The ship is beautifull, but you talk all the time and the audio is poor and your diction isn't better. My english is good but can't understand 90% you speak

Thank you Dee, both before me have made my job of finishing this 1:72 Victory a lot easier with the great workmanship

Hi Rick, no when it’s finished is going back to the owners for display

Just paint the stain red and it is where Nelson was shot.....
That’s a good idea Colin
I have one with hull finished, but the rest to do, I was left it by my dad. Looking to pass it to someone.
Hi, Wouldn’t you like to have a go at finishing it yourself
Where is the real HMS VICTORY John, is it at Portsmouth?
Yes in the historical navel dockyards Portsmouth
