J80 Yates & Cosas - Solo Sail Race

J80 Yates & Cosas along the yearly solo sail regatta. Race organiced by the Real Club Maritimo de Santander. This time there double handed sailor as well. Northerly wind ranging 5-12 knots. Recorded with dual gopros.

Muy buen trabajo! Tengo un J80, y un par de extra winches de otro barco, que te perece si instalo las winches atras del traveler para hacer tacking mas facil, sin tener que trepar sobre el traveler para alcanzar las winches? No hago racing, asi que puedo modificar todo lo que yo quiero :-) (Disculpa mi Espaniol, no se como se dice 'tacking', o 'winches') -Veleo en San Francisco, California

Thanks Jorge!. I dont know if the deck is ready for that kind of mod. Sounds like too much work to me. And the boat looks tidier with just the regular winches 😃

Hi, nice vid!
I was trying to see how you have fixed your tiller to avoid it from going too far off. Is that elastic band? Do you adjust it after tacking?

Hi!. Thank you. Nope, it is countinous rope. Both ends on each side of the tiller and it crosses the boat by the main winches, so I could control the boat from the cokpit area. I used the spi sheet cleats to lock course as well.You are welcome Guido!
