Rockabilly 50ies Sound und das nicht von der Stange - das sind Kitty, Daisy & Lewis. Rockabilly Bands gibt es unzählige, die meissten davon hängen in Punkto Perfektion längst ihre großen Vorbilder ab und liefern den Sound fast authentischer als in den 50ern. Was vielen Vertretern des Genres aber fehlt, sind Songs mit Wiedererkennungswert und das letzte Quentchen Flair, dass sich einfach nicht re-konstruieren lässt. Kitty, Daisy & Lewis aus dem nördlichen London sind deshalb schon fast eine kleine Sensation. Abgesehen von ihrem Alter (die Mitglieder sind zwischen 14- und 19 Jahren alt) klingen sie auf ihrem 2008er Album, als wäre diese Musik gerade eben erfunden worden und lassen viele ihrer älteren Kollegen verdammt alt aussehen. Alles an dieser Platte ist "echt" ohne konstruiert zu klingen: Die Produktion (ausschließlich auf altem original Equipment entstanden) klingt roh und lebendig, die Songs frisch und unverbraucht - doch die wirkliche Sensation ist der Gesang von Kitty und Daisy - würde man nicht wissen, wie jung die beiden Damen sind, könnte man annehmen, hier stehen zwei Vollblutmusikerinnen hinter dem Mikrofon, die schon mindestens 20 Jahre Liveerfahrung auf dem Buckel haben und sich etliche Nächte um die Ohren geschlagen haben. - เพลง

Seen Canned Heat play this live back in 1978 in Vancouver, didn't know what to expect, but yeah love it, good job girls.

@@tarzanappleseed5424 Not there there are tons of good and great new bands. The corporate clueless media only pushes and promotes total garbage.. SO all the good new bands are all DIY, playing bars and festivals.. Help the good bands support them, help get rid of the garbage.
There are so many good new classic rock bands now, odies blues, etc.. Checkout Samantha Fish, and Ally Venable for 2 examples. They are awesome!

This performance may very well be my very favorite by Kitty, Daisy, & Lewis! I love this song and I love this presentation. As an Old Man that has lived and worked professionally (engineering) in the USA and Deutschland, the program host and musicians make this especially fun. I'm predominantly US-based, but may be partial to this performance in Germany, having been a contributing member in "very good" rock band in Germany.
Now kids, this is real music, take note if your planning a life in the industry. Nice to see it in HD

Well, C. Roche also said it's good they 'play like an animal.' I certainly get that sensation listening to them. How original, refreshing they are, too, compared to the usual oatmeal coming off the airwaves these days. Love this group. We need more like them, their talent, their family connectedness, and that refreshing style.

Definitely but do you know that Canned Heat covered this song also..? It was a big surprise to learn that this song was written in the 1920....
I saw these gals and guys playing as street musicians on the movie "Last Chance Harvey" and saw immediately something special. They make me feel special listening to it which is the kind of music I have in my collection. Take good care of yourselves and keep it up!

I remember 1968 when "Canned Heat" was popular, an awesome song of the times. Would never believe, 40 some years later I'm watching a bare foot momma play stand up base and making a whole new song out from the original. This family has some kind of awesome musical talent, just unbelievable.
