      Hey, here's an EDC question!
I'm disabled, specifically I have muscular atrophy. AKA I am weak af. Looking for a folding knife that I can operate single handed. Unfortunately, liner and frame locks have proven too strong for that, as well as my first bar lock (Sitivien ST124). Just too stiff! Is there a button or back locking knife that's worth giving a try? Maybe some other mechanism?
      Thanks.

I am into lightweight. After several iterations the best turns out to be... use the credit card themselves as the structure. Then I just use a hair band , the type with a cloth covering.. it allows the cards to slide easier and protects the elastic. Inside just wrap one emergency $20 bill around a lesser used card and store that one in the middle. Can slip whatever you want under the band. So easy and light.

I have had my Geogrit for several months now, and could not be more happy with it. I have had several other formats of this type but no equal.👍

I’ve never seen the appeal of the “two metal plates held together by elastic” design. I could achieve the same effect by just putting a rubber band around my stack of cards, and that would cost $70-120 less than the Ridge-type wallets.
Besides, I like some organization in my wallet. So I bought a Herschel Charlie wallet for $15. Minimalist, organized, and inexpensive. That’s all I need.

Based on your video I bought one and it just arrived today. I gave my Ridge to my 20 year old son. This is the perfect Ridge if that makes sense. This is so much easier to get the cards out. That was my only gripe with the Ridge. Being able to fan the cards and being vertical is really perfect. Thanks again for this video.

Neat design. I have a small aluminium wallet that you can raise the cards up with a small lever. When they raise up, they're staggered so you can select what you card you need really easily. It's held up really well and the cards are easy to access.

Very similar to the Aviator wallet.
Can’t say I had any real issues with card spill when I had my Ridge wallet (which I used for 8+ years) but then again when I got my Ridge wallet I reduced my card carry right down to only 4 cards.

I loved my ridge but it needs breaking in time and it gets easier to use. My only gripe is the ridge would wear my cards out.

This will sound nuts but I like my Ridge wallet while being equally annoyed as you actually getting cards out. It's a PITA but . . . I keep my main CC on top and my DL on the bottom making those somewhat easier to get out. My other cards in between. Costco, BJ's and Sam's Club cards aren't fun getting out but I like the Rigid for different reasons. I hate billfold type wallets carried them for years. I switched to a PGA Tour type money clip. When the Ridge came out I was happy to ditch the money clip which held my cards and cash. The Ridge for me was better than both those options. I hate having a lot of stuff in pockets so not a good EDC guy. lol This wallet does look interesting enough for me to give it shot. I have looked at all the Ridge replacements and most where too large for my liking while having better functionality. This looks to be about the same size and seems to offer easier access to the middle cards. Glad I saw it has a money clip option as well.

If I knew this brand was around about a month ago I might have gone with them. Instead I went with the alpaka slim wallet for my basic edc. I have backup for the other cards and stuff I have/ need. Honestly can’t complain it’s perfect for me and no card vomiting.

Looks neat, but I still will stick with Secrid. One of the first brands putting out slim wallets and Ekster is a rip off of them. I’ve been rocking the same 6 card holder since 2014 and it’s seen some wild abuse and still works fantastic. I will get a new Secrid next year no matter what, but maybe I’ll get more diverse selection in rotation.

Ridge wallets aren’t worth even 50% of the price they go for, I bought some knock off version for $30 off Amazon in carbon fiber with the cash strap on it in the early days when ridge wallet still only offered the metal clip and it’s done perfectly fine for me for the last 7 to 10 years or so since I finally switched over to it so I see literally NO reason to buy a legit ridge wallet and the only reason people want the brand name one is because they see lots of other people carrying them and also because of the large amount of choices of colors and designs printed onto the side plates… Anyways, I’m on the hunt for a new wallet to switch over to so I decided to take my time and check out honest reviews of each one I find that I am drawn to and looking for ones that are different from what I’ve carried previously. I think I’ve narrowed it down to about 4 or 5 styles that are all from different companies besides 2 different models that are the same brand at this point in time but I keep finding more to add to the list! Lol. I’m loving alot of these pretty unique ideas that are being used in a lot of these newer models nowadays so def going to at least try out a couple of the ones that make more sense to me and seem to actually be very useful and function great. Think I’m def going to try one of the ones that you slide one side up and back down like a shotgun slide for quick and easy access to all your cards tho I think.
