Good evening from Tokyo 🌝 I hope you’re all having a lovely weekend! I went to Yamanashi prefecture to chill & have some good food 🍜 I’ll be posting videos on things you can do around the area and also give you a room tour of the cottage I stayed at so stay tuned for that! Just FYI, the video was taken before the state of emergency in Japan. As always, many thanks for watching ☺️
It seems like a never ending SoE over there just now. I loved the look of the restaurant you visited, i didnt know women could only sit a certain way on the floor, cant wait for your other videos of the surrounding area + cottage.
That fish looked like a cartoon fish skeleton! Sarah is definitely a pro fish eater! Everything looked so good! It's like a much more upmarket version of Yakiniku. I think if you want something quicker, perhaps Yakiniku is the best option, but if you want something a bit more with a nice experience then Robatayaki looks amazing! Thank you for sharing.
great video c: i love the atmosphere of this kind of stuff 🙆🏻♀️ the food looks so yummy and it looks like a fun experience, too! thanks for the video c:
That's a very cool place! I'm always looking for traditional places that have English menus. (Sadly, my Japanese language skills still aren't very broad.) Great vid, Sarah!
Wow the setup of this place looks absolutely traditional and I really like the authenticity and simplicity of that bbq and you look so cutee while eating lol🙈❤️
Thank you for asking about the English menu we planned on going there this year but plans are on hold on a positive note it gives us more time to improve our reading skills.
That's quite an experience! I've never experienced "irori" but all the food you ate(especially pork!)look so yummy. The scent of charcoal must be a good hint the flavour!😍
I always fancied going to places like this, but am scared that it might be too expensive. 😅 Would love to experience it though in the future when we go back to Japan. I wish we have the same style restaurant here in California.
There needs to be more places like this in the world where you can cook your own food, seems like it would be a social experience similar to the izakaya places that more focus on alcohol and some food this is the other way around. Too many good places to visit not enough time to enjoy them all.
Don't feel bad about being greedy with fish. I ate a 15 lb halibut with chili oil when I was 8. Literally took the pan it was in and dumped the oil in and started ripping it apart wolfing it down.
You need A LOT more meat on that grill. I had a BBQ with 3 of my uni friends on Saturday. Think it was about 2 kilos of pork and chicken meat. We weren't able to finish all of it but we did eat most lol. No vegetables though. Only meat and bread. And some ketchup, mayonnaise and mustard.
@@TokyoFoodieSarah none of us like vegetables if we have bbq 😂 maybe some onions and tomatoes but that's it. Also, that's about 500g per person, it fills you up real good if you're hungry.
Sorry but uif i pay 23 bucks for a meal it better be cooked by smeone else. They can cook it in front of me but i am not cooking for myself at that price.
You're also paying for the experience of connecting with your meal. If that's not your cup o' tea, there's probably a McDonald's down the street that can better serve your preferences.

The scoop with the prongs and hollow base is genius!
It is right!!
Wow I love the interior of that place. It’s like a time machine!

Jealous as always of all the good food! The pile of food looked massive! I'm now starving and craving BBQ!!

Indeed the SoE is never ending and recurring..... 🤯
I’m very envious that you are able to conveniently visit places like this. I hope one day I will be able to experience it for myself.

They only do restaurant! But you’re right, staying here would be amazing 🥺
I like your video because I love the way you look the way you dressed up very fashionable
I love how you enjoy/savor every bite 😍
@Tokyo Foodie Sarah I can imagine putting some shrimp on those skewers…..うまいぞ!
Omg yes shrimps would be amazing!! The 3,000 - 4,000 yen courses have shrimp skewers included in the menu actually! 🤤
Thank you for asking about the English menu we planned on going there this year but plans are on hold on a positive note it gives us more time to improve our reading skills.

Nice video as always, and that place, just wow. BTW the sound got a bit weird with the distance, you should get a lapel microphone help with that.
I did not think about that! Thanks for the advice 😆
I need to go there 🤯🤯
Definitely! It’s such a cool experience

Ahhh! The bloopers are back. How long was your meal overall? You mentioned it does take time for the food to cook.
I checked back on my videos and it took me just under 1.5h from when I started cooking and when I was completely done with all the food!

すごい!あれがレアル炉端焼きですね。
ですね!☺️
At my age, getting down on the floor is a struggle. Getting up from the floor will kill me. LOL

I had the same impression when I first visited this place! Luckily it’s quite affordable ☺️
@@TokyoFoodieSarah Oh that’s good to know! 🤗
'I got the biggest fish because I'm a greedy bitch'....lolol ! 美味しいそう食べたいです

Is reservation required?
keep an eye on chris video next week on journey across japan. you'll be having a good laugh very soon
Ok! 😆
Anyone else jump at 3:33 when Sarah leaned into the grill with her hair dangling? Very scary!
Oops 😂
My number 1 favorite woman in the world is looking nice and beautiful as always! But those food looks good!
The food was indeed great 🤤

Next time please get some veg...... 😂

sorry to talk you can use Indonesian, can
You need to get yourself a clip on microphone as when the camera is some distance away, could hardly hear you.
I do now!
