    When he was doing his book tour for choke, I was coming from a university class which I would ..kinda as a joke, kinda for speed, rollerblade across campus to.
    So I got to the event early, in rollerblades, and though the doors were shut, there was Chuck sitting on the sidewalk. I almost rollerbladed away for fear of irritating him, but ventured a
    ".........hi chuck."
    He was really generous with his time, a hilarious, inspirational man, and he signed my rollerblades. Eventually other people started showing up, but what a genuinely human guy.
    Still got the rollerblades.
    Still love Chuck.

    after my sisters death, the first book i read was invisible monsters. before then i had no way to express my struggle between resentment from my parents idolizing a sibling who'd lost their life to an inescapable disease and missing her to the point of reevaluating my own identity. i was borderline suicidal and i owe my shift in mentality to chuck. he changed my life and i wish more than anything to meet him and thank him

    The dude is incredibly witty and interesting. Never thought I would want to go and see a writer speak in person, but I wanna hear this guy.

    This is the first time I've listened to Palahniuk speak. I always imagined every one of his characters being a larger than life reproduction of himself, but now I don't think that's true. I love this guy. Not only because of his excellent writing, but because he is so encouraging to new writers. Probably the best and most productive author for the writing community. Thank you Chuck, for inspiring me and many other writers to push the limits.

    Great interview once Chuck gets going, love Tai's Narration of 'Damned' which I listened to twice. Can't wait to read 'Doomed' and the conclusion. I Have 'Doomed' which I am putting off reading to prolong the anticipation.

    Chuck is such an awesome author, seems to be an equally awesome guy in general as well. Very well spoken to say the least.

    so weird how you feel so connected to an author.. you've never met him, never seen him, never even listened to what he's had to say. yet the first time you listen you feel like you've lived with him just because you've flipped through 4 of his books.

    Question: I have "DOOMED" but i hadn't readen "DAMNED".
    Can i read them like independient storys or should i read "Damned" first?
    thanks!

    • @Leanashe23
      @Leanashe23 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Aurora Martos hmm Doomed is technically a sequel to Damned, so I personally would recommend reading Damned first as it introduces the characters and the introduction to Madison's character really key to the trilogy. Or you could read Doomed and then read Damned as a prequel. :)
