I want to buy a shirt however I would like a sizing chart. I'm between a small and a medium. Some places I buy Small is too tight or too big. I'm 5'7", 130 lbs.
Tyler, I have had great success using a belly-weighted hook with swim baits, but no one seems to talk too much about it. Hands down, it is one of the best set-ups for pulling through any kind of cover and for catching fish. Love to hear your take on it.
You are right, for getting through cover that is truly the best way. I have used a belly weight for swimbaits like a Shadilicious and one of my favorites is a BIG EZ from Gambler, definitely future videos I have in mine
Rage swimmers in white with a weighted hook all day in the summer is what I catch most of my bass on that and a pumpkin seed crazy crawl with this red sparkle in it on a Texas rig I always liked rubbers tubes which I think are a little under rated I try to keep it simple bank fishing unless I'm in a boat which ain't too often then I'll go to spinner l,chatter and Crank bait's
I love fishing tiny swimbaits 2 to 3 in catches a lot of different variety of fish and big bass still love them caught a 6 lb 9 oz just a few weeks ago but it's a good numbers bait also
Recently I started tying my jig head lures with a loop knot. I notice it gives more action to the lure and the fish seem to notice also because I catch more fish than before with a cinch knot.
Speaking of jig heads, one you didn't mention (for a Keitech) is a screwlock rigged weedless. That can be a nice rigging to really throw up in the middle of heavy grass and pads.
I’ve fished “swim baits” my whole life. Here in south MS we have tidal marsh with brackish water. During the fall and winter we’re able to catch redfish, speckled trout, and bass all on the same lure. A lot of my bass swim baits are saltwater lures. Thank you for your videos and the great content.
Guy from Europe here: If i'm fishing the Keitech FSI (which is within my favourite baits) here in the river Rhine with a Fluocarbon leader i won't have much fun because the pike will simply cut the line if it inhales the lure deep enough, and there are lot of decent sized pike around here 😀So even if i'm targeting zander or european perch i always use a steel or titanium leader, otherwise i'll lose plenty of lures and fish 😀
I agree with a lot of what you said, but that Matt Allen swimbait head you tried the little Keitech on is meant for 4.8" and larger swimbaits, the Tacticalbassin finesse swimbait head has a much lighter wire hook and will work better for swimbaits about 2.8" - 4" , those are great swimbaits when paired with the correct size bait.
Yes and when I talked about there being times when you do use a heavy wire, I had it paired with a 4.8. Sometimes I have seen guys put big heads like that in smaller 2.8 and 3.8 inch swimbaits which is my point exactly
I have a hooded sun shirt, but would be interested in a performance shirt without hood in the blue print you offer in the hooded shirt. I think it’s smart to have blue or gray to match sky conditions. Fish see red and therefore see you. Don’t wear red when fishing.
I love ❤️ these types of videos one of my favourite bass fishing 🎣 videos you have made I been watching and learning from you a lot lately since I am young and have much to learn!
I enjoyed your video. One thing, I don't use exposed hook jigheads nearly as much as offset hook jigheads that you can fish more snagless/weedless. I avoid the frequent snags and I don't seem to miss many strikes. Your tip on lighter hooks is right on the money though. Just have to make sure you have a good sharp hook on the jighead. When I find the perfect jighead for my preferred swimbait I buy a bunch of them. (Using a bait with too flimsy of a tail may be another mistake many make.)
On a Keitech, I use a weighted 'keeper' EWG, and I sometimes slit the belly a bit to give the hook more room to get through on the set. Makes things more weedless as I can keep the point 'Texas rig style' in the little top channel. But I did have to go from a 3/0 to a 4/0 to get better penetration on hook set as well as keeping it in against the fight, and it really helped bending the point sideways a bit. For 5" ones, I throw on a 7" medium heavy, 30-lb braid and 15-lb fluoro leader.
@@RBC1692 I switch between a sexy shad and bluegill pattern depending on water/situation. Pretty simple. Problem is that it also attracts a lot of pickerel/pike, and they slice me off, so I've lost quite a few of these. Tried going with a wire leader because of this, but the action was no good and it felt weird.
Great content again. VMC moon eyes do a great job on keitech 3.3 3.8 and 4.3 For the 4.3 I often under spin or throw it with dirty jigs TB finesse. Don’t be fooled by the light wire hooks the can handle big fish paired with the right rod reel setup. Moon eye handled two fish over 16 pounds for me this year. Pike and lake trout while smallie fishing. It’s going to fun to watch your clothing line grow.
