  • In a major boost to India's naval might, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commissioned India's first indigenous aircraft carrier IAC Vikrant in Kochi. With this, India has entered the select league of nations with domestic capability to develop such large vessels. It's quite difficult to predict the performance without the right aircrafts, the IAF is phasing out old MIGs and we are short of SU30 and Rafaels which cannot be replaced by LCA

      270+ Su30MKIs....What shortage??
      MWF is almost out. They are to perform alongside Rafales. Just give it some time to develop!!! Everything cannot be acheived within 8 years!! But we can see that we are on the right track!
      We have 30 squadrons, IAF wants 42 squadrons, which will be 756 Fighters. You cannot add so many fighters within a few years! And rather than buying from others and being in technological darkness to get the jets in 6 years, we must develop the technology and add the jets in 8 years!
      Just give the people who are working tirelessly, some time!

    Raza ji, I like the way you conduct these interviews and your knowledge on defense matters. however, pls allow more time to the guests, you tend to get too involved in your own story most of the time. questions are soooo long and you provide your answers.

    The Indian Navy is the flag bearer when it comes to adopting indeginous systems, IA and IAF are ages behind!!!
    If IA or IAF were to induct such systems, it would have been done under GOI pressure rather than self initiative!!!

    What occurs to me is, if required, can the Indian Navy adequately control the approaches to the Suez Canal, and the exit into the Indian Ocean from the Strait of Malacca? The advantageous position of Peninsular India in the Indian Ocean is mind-boggling!

    • @ex-muslimraj8652
      @ex-muslimraj8652 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, that would not be difficult, given the 2 carriers, Israel as such a powerful and staunch ally, 12 Heavily armmed destroyers, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and military naval bases in Red Sea, Oman, Eritrea and Djibouti(Just beside U.s's).
      The fact is, we are prepared, unike our enemy we don't announce, but ALSO, our enemy is growing, and we are too, but we have to outgrow them!
      JAI HIND!!!! BHARAT MATA KI JAY!!!

    If ur area of interest is more than 1000nm..then u defiantly need 3rd aircraft carrier...ideally between 3rd aircraft carrier n nuclear submarine...I'll go with submarine any day...aircraft carriers are sitting ducks for drones...

      Again nonsense, you're repeating slogans you've heard about aircraft carriers vs attack submarines that originated from Russian Naval experts decades ago. They were simply propagandizing for their Pathetic aircraft carrier technology and shoddy operational experience. In addition, people like Luttwak have made such poorly conceived rational. Aircraft carriers are Sea Control Systems and are very important during peacetime or pre open hostilities. Attack submarines are sea denial systems. Apples to oranges comparison. The scenario you draw are only during hot war, so for that rare eventuality, you will throw away all the benefits aircraft carriers provide? Now consider the fact that this July Russian President Vladimir Putin signed orders to start building a fleet of Russian Aircraft Carriers. So tell me, what happened to the Russian argument that aircraft carriers are obsolete? See how you got deceived? The very proponents of your argument favoring attack submarines are now building aircraft carriers.

      Your state has nothing and a Desh made entirely of your people is a laughing stock around the world, so perhaps you should stop embarrassing yourself by exhibiting such open jealousy 🤭😂 While your compatriots can only produce textiles, India pulls far ahead in technology and advanced industries. Do comment more so we can enjoy watching you exhibiting further frustration.
