Call of the wilderness EP: 24 - Sandhill Cranes flying in to roost.

To me, the call of sandhill cranes represents everything wild and beautiful about nature. Something about the trill of their voices brings tingles to my spine. In addition, we have a bonus of bald eagles soaring above and an angry squirrel chastising another squirrel in the next tree. Sit back, Relax and enjoy the beauty of nature as seen through our lens.

I really feel the vibe. I live on the migration path of the european cranes. And if you hear their call, you know that winter is coming. They bring the cold weather.
The call touches something deep inside of me, that is hard to explain.
This year I have seen chains of thousands of them against the grey sky on their way to France and Spain.

I've never seen the European cranes but if they are anything like these I'm sure they are beautiful. Yes, there is just something about their calls that touches something deep inside. Hey Jeff, it funny the Cranes sure had a lot to say. And as for the geese at the end I couldn't help but wonder what they were saying to each other!

Greg, I hope you do find time to visit with them in California. They truly are remarkable birds. This was a little over an hour from my house. About 3,000 spend the winter here. I think the geese were saying "get off my lawn." Geese seem to always be grumpy but they always bring a smile to my face.
