Side arm, is that a Texas thing. I've wondered about that with all the stuff we bring you would be an easy target. Having a shootout in kayak would be difficult unless you drop them first.

Super informative video... Started looking for some of your items. The Seirus gloves could be a real winner but the web site doesn't carry that version any more. Now Sierus is trying to sell a waterproof glove without the index finger cut....Bummer!
Thanks again for another GREAT video!!! I had a scary experience the other night while fishing from my buddy's kayak. I flipped it in about 8 feet of water. I was wearing my PFD, but I was by myself. Lesson learned....ALWAYS PFD and don't go kayak fishing at night alone. Also let someone know where you are going.

I’d go with the company that’s going to stand behind their product. Only way to tell which is better is to buy them both and put to the test. Full submersion during cold water and see what’s best. Of course I don’t recommend doing this but it’ll give you the best idea.
No, especially not with the waders. This isn’t the type of test I’m into. Maybe if I were in a controlled environment but then what’s the point right. I hope I never have to speak from experience.
What happens with those waders if you go over board in cold water??? Won't the waders fill with water and either weigh you down? This factor I think you need to re think this advice. In deep water Waders are not a good idea. Otherwise your info is very helpful.
Awesome Vid Mark. What I use for cold wader boots for kayaking are the Hodgman wader boots. They are flexible and work well. Just get 1 size up. I think cabelas carrys them as well as ACK
Good video and some good advice. I ride motorcycles and we have a saying about those cheap painted up Chinese helmets that you see people wearing. 100 dollar helmet for a 100 dollar head. Never scrimp on your own safety!
Good info, and synthetic clothing is the way to go. On a side note, hard to tell in the video, but the outlet under the computer table looks a bit overloaded, unless there's a powerstrip/block I can't see. Hate to hear about a tragedy due to overwhelming the outlet.

You should look at the Soft Science wade boot. I love mine. There is plenty of ankle movement.
