Thank you so much for all the video you post I being doing good fallowing you. I learned when I as only 7 years old and now with so much time on my hands I am having good time doing again...Thank you
Emi

Hi Rebecca, thanks for your question, . this pattern is from Ashton's pattern shop, and I don't have the authority to give any other sizes except the one demonstrated for making the pattern. You could try to make adjustments to increase the size, and otherwise, the pattern is available in her shop. The link is below the video. Ashton11 on Etsy.
Like my mom says, who knows knows; and you DEFINATELY know. THANK you! I will try it this way. you are the BEST!
Hi Emi. Just popped in to say that I love ALL of your video tutorials. It takes a real professional to condense the video in the short time frame that you do, and yet we are able to follow all of the instructions perfectly. I've had great success in making items through your tutorials. Thank you. Take care. Lotsa love♥
+sonja ahmed Thanks so much Sonja!!
BEST, MOST ADORABLE BABY CAP EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks! Great tutorial! At first I was like, " A ten minute hat tutorial? No way!" But it is very clear and easy to follow! Thanks again!
i am a beginer and i still could do this cap. tks for the video it is very explicit!!!!!!!!!! love your work.
wow! beautiful, this vid is different to me cause you turn your wor in every row, that gives more texture to the hat and I LOVE IT! thanks a bunch for sharing you sure have a gift with the hook!
This is a very cute pattern...I'm going to try and make this shortly
This is for baby size... the pattern is available for purchase in
Ashton11.Etsy.com shop,
and it includes all sizes from newborn to adult.
I didn't catch the size needle for this project. I love this cap. Your video's are very easy to follow quick to make with you simple instruction.
my fav. colour combo, very nice.
@crochetbabe829 O.K. well instead of totally skipping a stitch, insert into the stitch you would be skipping, then pull up a loop, but don't finish the single crochet. Go to the next stitch, and make a regular single crochet, but then pull the loop through the 3 loops which you will have on the hook... it will fill in the space.
@MissMollysMum This pattern uses a size 5mm crochet hook, and worsted weight yarn. The pattern is available for purchase, and it includes all sizes from newborn right up to adult in the pattern. You can find a direct link to the pattern in the text below the video.

super cute. love your videos.
nice work all of it silvia
Wow was easy to make. Ur awesome. Very clear instructions.
i made this this week and I love it ! very easy to follow and do thank you Emi !!
I have no idea what your question is... but at the end of the row of double crochet, you slip stitch into the top of the chain at the beginning of the row to connect the 2 ends of the row.
re watching ,such a easy hat to make and so cute
Loops and Threads Impeccables, in soft taupe
@eLoveCR7 If the child is nearby, check by trying it on. If not, and depending on the size of the child's head, (not everyone aged 7 has the same size head), approximately
6 inches long. (Measure your own head, and make it about 1 inch shorter.) Have a great day!
Thanks for commenting Paulista!
This is so adorable Emi, thanx 😉
Oh, ok, this is a great idea! i will try this. i'm making baby hats for Children't Hosp. in my area will be making more. I only wish i could post to show the end project to you - no video camera on my pc. :( i watch your videos all the time and so I "Thank You" for sharing your beautiful work.
I bought this pattern because I made the one you showed and it came out adorable. It fits my 1 year old perfect. I made the adult size and it came out so big and floppy its just crazy. I don't know why but it doesn't look like the small one.
Thanks much!!!! i really njoy it.
Great directions! Thanks :)
love the cap This is a must try.Keep up the great work.Emilie
great hat
Hi Brandy!
The chain 2 takes the place of the first dc, so unless it's an increase row where you are making 2 dc in every stitch, you always skip the stitch with the chain 2, and begin working in the next stitch.
This demonstration was for newborn size.
fantastic video, just love that you had it condensed into 11 mins, waytogogirl. You make crochet seem a little easier to someone like me that is only crocheting a little over a year Thank you
Thanks Nichola!
I love this turned out great thank you so much.
April Duncan Thanks April!
thanks so much - I have made 2 of these and the brim didn't come out exactly how I wanted, I will try using a smaller hook next time! Love the pattern!
love this thank you !!!
I used loops and threads impeccables, which is Michael's brand.
Hook size was 5mm.
Troubleshooting for the visor, use a hook smaller than the one used for the main part of the hat,... or... use 2 strands just for the visor, it will make it stiffer and stand out better.
I'll put it on my list
this hat is very cute! keep up the good work :)
Thank you
great video... love the way you make sure the main stitches for the row is done then fast forward to where it changes or finishes off that row
Thanks Teresa!
Thanks so much!!
Thanks so much for commenting!!
YES!!!! Ripples in the work describes it WAY better......what can I do??
Thanks for commenting!!
I have lots of demos of hats in my "crochet projects" playlist, but not for that one, that is a demo of one size for her Ashton Newsboy Hat, available for purchase in her shop Ashton11 on Etsy.
Thank you.
Hi.... i love everything you make.. you are so crafty !! Thanks for sharing your videos.. I was wondering if you happen to know how to crochet a knight's helmet and if so can you share the pattern.. it's for an adult male... thanks again
I tried this pattern with the video for the first time and I did very good only one mistake because I was moving to fast I love this hat . Now I will make it in adult size. Grassiemoore
Yay! Great to hear!
I love this tutoial. and how pretty your hat is. but I have been havint rouble begining it. it keeps comming into a ball. do when you dc.do you and a single stich to close? or what am I doing wrong?
YES!!! Ripples in the work describes it MUCH better. What am I doing wrong??? HELP!!!
i have just made my first hat following your video and i am so impressed with myself lol thankyou so so much :) can i ask how i would make bigger sizes ( ive only been crocheting 2 weeks so am a bit new to this lol ) i tried just carrying on with double crochets after round 3 or 4 whenever it was that we changed to single crochet but it didnt work out :/ am i meant to chain 1 after each 2 doubles or am i just rubbish and doing it wrong?
ok. Is there a demo for adult caps or similar caps? Really liked it. Very nice.
That sounds like too many stitches across the row. But if it corrects itself after 2 rows of no more increase in stitches, then it's probably just a tension issue. Does the hat remain too big? Or do the ripples go away after 3 more rows?
There are lots of patterns in my etsy shop Hectanooga, and in Ashton11 shop on Etsy.
Thanks Annie, have a great day! (I just posted a video on making a flower with a zipper.)
@crochetbabe829 You can email me from my etsy shop, through the "contact" button, and there is a place to add up to 4 images in the email. Love that you are making hats for the children's hospital... have a great day!
O.K. To begin you should still have the chain 5, not chain 8. Rippling happens when there are too many stitches in a row. To increase to make an adult hat will be done on the 4th row, not at the beginning.
To make larger sizes, the pattern changes with each size, making more chain stitches in the first row.
When ever you go to the next row after you chain 2 and turn are you doing the dc in the same stitch as the chain 2 or are you skipping that and going to the next chain?
Hello EMI, I love your tuttorials. I have one question, what size hook are you using?
@eLoveCR7 That sounds like you are now working with 36 stitches around...that's a bit big for a baby..... if it's looking too big, instead of making 2 dc every 2nd stitch, make 2 dc every 3rd stitch... that will bring you to 32 stitches, and will still be a fairly large baby hat. (If not, you can always take it apart and start over... it's a very quick project!!)
Hi emi, I did something wrong by making the brim. I mean did u do your last sc in that chain 1 space or u left the chain 1 at the end. Because my brim were becoming slanting like this from the sides / \. Should they look like this from sides or should they be straight. Plz help. I hope you understand.
Hi, how many increase rounds are needed for an 5 year old? You did 3 for this baby size hat. Thanks!
I made the cap from another tutorial of yours but the brim didn't end up ok. well, the brim was nice but my son wanted it longer, so i added rows but the result was awful. I'll try to add this brim to it.
This one used Loops and Threads Impeccables... from Michaels... it's Michael's brand.
Hello Emi, I LOVE all your patterns. I have tried several of them but have the SAME problem every time. To use this one as an example, when you are done with the third row and done with your increases, your work looks flat. When I am dome with my third row, mine is NOT flat, but floppy, if that makes any sense. WHAT am I doing wrong??? HELP!!!!!!
Great tutorials as always . can i ask what size would this hat fit ? i am looking to do one for a 9 year old .. ps made lots and learned lots from you x
I think I've got it. It's tiny but I'm going to try a larger needle and 4 chain rather than a 5 chain. Thanks so much!!
O.K. Great to hear ginger! Glad you got it figured out!
I am try to find that top you crocheted.
Because I live in a cold climate, I always design my patterns to cover the ears. So, this pattern does cover the ears.
muy linda ¿esta es para una niña?
love love love your videos
Thanks Gloria!
how can make 3-6month baby hat?
i like your video, it is short, but very good.
Love this pattern .What ply wool and crochet hooks are you using please?
Worsted weight yarn, and a 6 mm hook.
Hi Emmi just wondering what kind of yarn did you used. Everytime I see one of your videos it seems like the yarn I use,(Red Heart), is not the same you are using. Can you please tell me what kind you used. Thank you.
Hi, I was wondering if you could tell me how to make this for a 3-4 yr old.
what size crochet hook are you using and what about the yarn?
Can you do adult size or what can I do to make it into adult.
@MissMollysMum Hmmm... what size yarn, and what size hook did you use??
Hectanooga1 - Crochet, Knitting, Jewelry, Crafts, Cooking SoskolssI
How big??
tht second row of skipping on the brim it look a bit holie/not coming out right/quite a bit of a gathered look. i don't know how to resolve this. i will have to sc in evry stitch (to prevent the gathered look) for tht next skip st row . . . i don't know. it's not coming out right.
Bonsoir,
What color did you use?
I just purchased this pattern and I noticed that in your video on the visor you say to single crochet at the end of each row but in the instructions it says to slip stitch. Which is correct?
Well, I was trying to make an adult size hat, so I did increase my first chain to 8, slip stitched to join, then out 20 double crochets in the loop...the ripples get better but do not dissappear comletely after 3 more rows ;(
hey.. how can i make big size of this hat? please reply...
is this cap fit for 2 years old baby?
Hi Jackie!
Whatever it says in the pattern is correct... but in this case, it would not make very much difference.
Hmmmm.... if it's big and floppy, maybe too many rows of increasing?
Guessing here.
how many months or years (approx.) the pattern??
