Clinique Happy cologne is light and smells great. A citrus smell. Worn it for 25 yrs and always compliments, “You ALWAYS smell so good!” Try it if you like that type of smell not a musk at all
Kudos for you to cover this topic as men don't consider smelling good and clean seriously 😂, especially women love a nice smelling men even if you don't look like Henry Cavill.
@@WalterWhite-ob7we I wouldn’t shave because it’s a sensitive area. You’ll probably get bumps. The trimmer I have shortens the hair so much it’s almost like shaving because I use it without a guard. my body odor and bad breath went away once I cut out vegetables and unhealthy foods. you don't stop and think about it often, but we know that onions, garlic, broccoli, and asparagus all cause bad odors in one way or another. so cutting them out will definitely make you smell better and sweat less. if you want to fix bad breath, cut out sugary foods, alcohol, tobacco, and soda.
I agree I think when you cut back on certain foods you’ll notice it once you start eating cleaner and having healthier diet you won’t smell as bad it’s like you’re detoxifying you’re body

I lost barely all my sense of smell about 2 years ago, I only can smell things when i put my nose REALLY close to them. But idk why, since then I became TOTALLY obsessed with smelling the best I can. Started wearing colognes/perfumes, having a collection of more than 20 (yeah, i know i spent too much cause a lot are niche), taking care of parts like my tongue which I ignored for years, consuming only healthy food and having a lot more habits that i didnt have before. It just amazes me the fact that I started caring a lot about smell when i cannot sense it anymore.
It's like a child that's playing with many toys but one, you take away this specific toy from him/her and they'll cry to death wanting it back to play even though they ignored it all along, basic inverse human psychology I guess...

Interesting that you suggest applying non-scented body wash and lotion. I use scented for both (Native brand) and apply the lotion after a shower. Then I apply cologne. Maybe the cologne and body wash/lotion can give conflicting smells? Idk, but people say I smell fresh. Also for the Environment - a diffuser can help your room smell good all of the time!
Your gonna flip out when I tell you this, but I recently started spraying my armpits, chest, balls and feet with a really weak solution of bleach in the shower before you wet yourself ( the original reason was to control athletes foot). It works great to control odors. And I don't need to use deodorant and I live where it's hot in the summer (Utah). The athletes foot condition has improved too. 😊😊 I also trim my body hair and manscape which also help with odor control. 😊😊
Very useful information. It's attractive for a person to smell good. I have been doing the bathing and brush stuff, with just different products. However, I am little confused about the masking effect of these good smells over our own body smell. Studies have highlighted the importance of pheromones in selection of our best partner. So if body odour is eliminated, the pheromones, existing in our own body smell, should be good enough to attract the right person. Fragrances may be attractive at first, but it could bring an incompatible person near us. That would be so time wasting. So I would recommend people to use very little fragrance. Just follow the hygiene tips.
Listerine mouthwash is the most effective product to reduce harmful bacteria...just avoid the yellow( too much alcohol~27%)..use the green, blue , orange w/ ~22%- Must state "antiseptic"...alcohol does offer a benefit to home care

2:43 and the BEST way you can make your cologne last long is buying a good one, zaharoff signature is ok, but it ain't got enough projectivity for a full day, and polo red is a damn EDT for a price of nice EDP like swy intencely or lmlp. 100ml bottle is like 1k sprays, and 3-4 sprays of decent cologne is enough for the day, thats more than enough for a year. And good does not mean expensive, you can get some afnano 9pm (25$, thats insane price to quality ratio. sweet vanilla smell with good projectivity and ~10 hours on skin longevity), or if you got more money then spicebomb, swy intencely, le male le perfume, azaro the most wanted, replica jazz club, blue de chanel... theres plenty of good colognes that will last 8-12 hours without putting more shit on...
For those of you out there trying to avoid those cheap and lame deodorants, you can try this deodorant I've been using. It's called potassium alum stone (or tawas stone) and it has been working really well for me. It doesn't stop my from sweating but it helps a lot in getting rid of that nasty smelling body odour, best of all is that there's no smell from the deodorant so if you were to use a cologne, the scents won't mix.
Everything here is seriously a top tier guide for young men - but please *don't spray cologne or any flamable liquid into your dryer* = that's just increasing the risks of a fire hazard 💀 - INSTEAD, when you fold your clothes and put them in your cupboard / drawer etc. then spray into that, and close it off 👌
Mostly good advice, but you need to be more cautious with the type and amount of products you use with artificial scents. Anything from deodorants and lotions to soaps and candles, laundry and dish detergents... lots of the chemicals used to make these things smell nice can be really toxic, and they're only listed as "fragrance" in the ingredients list. These chemicals can trigger allergies, chronic illnesses, even cancer over time. I suggest avoiding scented candles altogether and using a phthalate-free essential oil room spray (like the Mrs. Meyer's brand), and choosing only unscented brands for all your laundry-related products, and lotions too. Also, what you eat dramatically affects how you smell, and not just your mouth. Processed foods (e.g. fast food, junk food) are packed with crappy chemicals and ingredients that the human body just wasn't designed to absorb well; so it eventually smells extra funky in your gas, oily secretions, teeth, etc.
brett could you please make video on the "old money style/aesthetic" a lot of guys including me would love it? and please talk about accessories. love your vids. keep it up.
I stopped using Arm&Hammer. It's just aweful, gums up and never lasts. Tried old spice and axe and they were the same. Incredibly The one I found works surprisingly well is a $3 stick of Mitchum, which I've found lasts almost 2 days, and is a great for the crotch too.
I’m showering everyday once or twice and I’m moisturizing every time I a shower, I sometimes use some body oil like coconut and hibiscus but barely I have unscented moisturizer when I’m using cologne but the eos vanilla cashmere smells amazing isn’t overpowering moisturizer good and it goes well with colognes. I also have the Vaseline cocoa moisturizer and the shea moisture moisturizers and a nice smelling coconut one. I wash my body in a 4 use routine I use 2 body washes old spice for places that sweat easily or just old spice on sweaty days since it has lots of harmful chemicals but it really cleans your body. I then use native body wash coconut and vanilla or the citrus and herbal musk or the coconut and coffee ojx body wash and iv used many others. I also use a soap bar either from shea moisture or just the plain dove cream bar but there’s many other companies that are good like dr squash or many others. I also use a exfoliant like the dove brown sugar and coconut or shea moistures coconut and hibiscus one leaving my skin smoooth not dry and free from dry skin. I have a loofah but it contains a lot of bacteria so I don’t use it much instead I use an African sponge a silicone scrubber and to exfoliate I use I use a hard bristle brush. I have a routine for my hair since I have curly in between mix with wavy hair I use shea moistures to enchance my curls and to wash and make it smell good I use ojx shampoos for example there coconut milk shampoo. Every 3 to 4 weeks sometimes I can skip this I use a detox shampoo to get rid of protein or any other kind of buildup in my hair either naturally or from product buildup. I also keep my face smelling good by just keeping it clean overall and I have a whole other routine for cleaning my face but mainly I keep it smelling good by spraying rose water. Also for my hair again I use salt spray simpletics that has some nice scents like coconut or vanilla and it adds texture to my hair without using harmful products. I keep everything shaved down there and my face and under my arms and since there’s no hair under my arms there’s no needs for deodorant but I use it anyways I use the dove men’s care deodorant or native but on sweaty days I use old spice
My favourite colognes would be azzaro the most wanted parfum, Jean Paul gaultier le male le parfum, jean Paul gaultier le beau edt, givenchy gentlemen reserve privee, dolce Gabana K, 1 million edt, Valentino born in Roma coral fantasy, and I have many others
I also use for good smelling breath a charcoal bristle toothbrush but it barely contains pure activated charcoal so it dosnt really go down to my enamel, I also use 2 toothpastes one charcoal and one to clean. I use 2 mouthwashes one gurú nanada and it oil pulls too and one therabreath the blue one, I also scrape my tongue to get rid of almost 70% of the bacteria that is on there
Also to smell good you have to be clean and being clean means being in a clean environment so I have a whole routine and I’m always wearing clean clothes and sleeping in a clean bed. Also to be clean you have to be healthy and that will keep you looking good as well so I have a whole routine for that as well haha
I DISAGREE WITH THIS VIDEO. It's a pretty good video especially for those who don't know where to start, but there are some points I just want to clarify because I believe some of the information here shouldn't be followed blindly. Body: Colognes First of all, get something YOU like. Do so by going to the nearest store which sells EDT, EDP, Elixir, Parfum. DO NOT blind buy because these things can be expensive and don't just follow the hype. More importantly, don't restrict yourself to only men fragrances. Personally, I have been using a women's fragrance from Issey Miyake and it smells incredibly good. Secondly, buy the smallest bottle possible because you WILL get tired of the smell eventually, not just that but it's also cheaper. Buying a big bottle is just gonna be a waste if you can't finish it and it's gonna oxidize eventually, resulting in a different scent. Mouth: Toothpaste Please buy something that you need. For me, I have sensitive teeth so I buy Sensodyne instead. With that being said, avoid buying toothpaste that promotes whitening of the teeth, most of these toothpastes contain an ingredient called hydrogen peroxide which at high strengths, can cause teeth sensitivity and gum irritation, and it takes a long time to actually see effects of the toothpaste. Don't do home remedies because you'll just ruin your teeth. You are much better off going to the dentist where they will assess whether your teeth and see if it's appropriate to go for whitening. Mouthwash This item is not a necessary if you find brushing, flossing and scraping your tongue helps remove the bad breath. But if you do purchase this, remember to not rinse your mouth with water immediately after using mouthwash. Other than that, follow whatever this guy says because brushing your teeth, flossing and scraping your tongue does helps reduce bad breath, and helps you remove plaque and prevent gingivitis. Hair: For those living in tropical climates, if you find yourself sticky and disgusting from all the sweat on your hair, please wash your hair. It is okay to wash your hair even if you've washed your hair a few days ago. I for one wash my hair everyday, which I know is bad but that's because I like the texture that comes out of it. More importantly, use your conditioner FIRST lather it onto your HAIR and not your scalp. Wash it off and then apply shampoo. Rinsing your hair with shampoo after applying conditioner helps remove excess build-up and helps reduce the frizziness since conditioner is way thicker than shampoo. Not relevant to smell but brush your hair everyday. This will help to distribute natural oils, which are essential for healthy scalp and hair growth. You can brush twice a day, one in the morning and the other at night. But make sure you do it gently.
Also don't use aloe vera to moisturize after a shower. It isn't good at doing that, is incredibly sticky, can cause allergy issues and oftentimes can do the OPPOSITE of whats intended.
I don't think your supposed to put conditioner in your scalp and also you should condition every day because its only the middle and ends of your hair.
I love you man! Some of the tips I'm already doing, but some I can incorporate. One thing that I don't recommend is using cologne or perfume, it's because when you live in a place with high humidity like here in the Philippines the fragrance evaporates, now combine with your sweat smells nasty and may become overpowering and can cause headache. Anyway nice video as always...
So for the cologne in the dryer trick, would it still work if I pull my clothes inside out? I have a few graphic band tees/hoodies that I wear occasionally, and I wanna know if it would still work. Probably a dumb question but I thought it’d be worth asking
Ok thanks, I didn't even think about picking up other smells just by being in a room that hasn't been aired out. Aside from other items you listed. Again thanks
Colgate Total used to be the Best dentftice but is not anymore since the FDA removed its active antibacterial ingredient Tricolsan...all name brand toothpastes are essentially equal now-

It’s that simple.
Take a label read of the chemicals in deodorants and you’ll want to avoid any of that near your bits.
Another tip for smelling good naturally is a clean diet. Eat lots of veggies and fruits.
This is essential, and the thing is, everyone has that signature cologne that is their style. You need to create a fragrance line
Yes. But remember to wash your ass daily. No amount of perfume will cover up that stank lol.
Clinique Happy cologne is light and smells great. A citrus smell. Worn it for 25 yrs and always compliments, “You ALWAYS smell so good!” Try it if you like that type of smell not a musk at all
I just wanna say thanks. Your videos have taught me so much, and have helped me implement a lot of positive changes in my life. 🙏
If somebody don't want to condition their hairs....simply apply oil 1-4 hours before bathing and then shampoo
Kudos for you to cover this topic as men don't consider smelling good and clean seriously 😂, especially women love a nice smelling men even if you don't look like Henry Cavill.
Smelling good is a huge priority for me
I don’t joke with it
Even at night
I give myself two puffs of sure before I go to bed after a shower
Good man
Also you can trim your pits (don't shave). It helps you have less sweat and less smell. I love it
Or you could just wash properly in the first place …
@@monk3yboy69 yeah of course, but you should try trimming your pits
Why not shave
@@WalterWhite-ob7we I wouldn’t shave because it’s a sensitive area. You’ll probably get bumps. The trimmer I have shortens the hair so much it’s almost like shaving because I use it without a guard. Also it’s faster because you don’t have to get the area wet with warm water, lather up, shave, rinse, etc. Trim it every couple weeks and it takes like 3 minutes.
There’s actually closer to 20 senses, including sensing when someone is staring at you.
my body odor and bad breath went away once I cut out vegetables and unhealthy foods. you don't stop and think about it often, but we know that onions, garlic, broccoli, and asparagus all cause bad odors in one way or another. so cutting them out will definitely make you smell better and sweat less. if you want to fix bad breath, cut out sugary foods, alcohol, tobacco, and soda.
I agree I think when you cut back on certain foods you’ll notice it once you start eating cleaner and having healthier diet you won’t smell as bad it’s like you’re detoxifying you’re body
so basically
in the past when i proposed my crush she rejected and we were actually pretty close before that and a little less close now and last week in my best friend's birthday party we were playing truth or dare and another friend of mine asked her why she rejected me well she told i was very sweaty and it kinda smells bad so she rejected me and now i found this video and hey it would help a lot later
Great mate❤️🔥
Thanks 🔥
You're so realistic 😭 even pointing out knock out versions for us
Bro is absolutely hooking us up
It's strange being Brazilian and listen to him talking about showering every day like it is not common.
In Brazil we not only take a shower every day, often we take more than one😂 it's cultural

"Darling, I'll be home in a week. Don't wash."
Indians, most of the products he recommended sre available in india so yes guys after researching a lot of TH-cam and Instagram videos, this guy saved my hope... Thanks buddyyy ❤❤❤❤❤ i really mean it 🥰😙
Friendly note for those of us with significant body hair and don’t trim it anti perspirant deodorant will stick in clumps to hair especially in your pits
As an Indian I see this as an absolute win 👽
OMG you're like the older friend that every teen wish to have to give them advices.
Thanks dude this really helps a lot because i wanted to smell better but i didn't know where to start or getting the things that are used in the vids. But because your linked it in the discripsen thank you so much dude!!!💯
As someone who cares about their smell more than anything I had to watch this when it popped up in my feed.
I really luv the idea of putting cologne in your cloths before washing
the vaseline tip sounds interesting, Ill try that
and by far the best perfume for young dudes is Versace Eros Blue
my mother bakes a lot of cakes in the house for the business and basically I smell like a bakery
For flossing, use a waterpick. Game changer.

Right! So maybe better not to eat too much.
Been rocking polo red for years, I already knew
Listerine mouthwash is the most effective product to reduce harmful bacteria...just avoid the yellow( too much alcohol~27%)..use the green, blue , orange w/ ~22%- Must state "antiseptic"...alcohol does offer a benefit to home care
No
Man your channel is so informative but also underrated and I'm glad I discovered it. Could you please do a vid on ear hygiene? I haven't found a decent source on that yet and thought ur type of content could help

Antiperspirant when applied at night works best since it optimally blocks the pores and hence reduces sweating
Blockong perspiration is a no no, you need to perspire for health reasons, it is natural
@@basedpatriotLT according to who? Ok then perspire and ruin your shirts with sweaty armpits and smell during important events cause according to you it’s natural :)
@@kendrick1410 you block sweat pores. Sweat pores sweating is natural and needed for your body to work well.
If you block the pores do at least during the day. No need to do during the night when you do not sweat that much (or if you do, it is not big problem during the night)
@@basedpatriotLT man using anti persistent at night is recommended by all dermatologists. That's it. No problem if you wanna use it in the day!
@@kendrick1410 what kind of sweat are you producing that ruins shirts?
Bruh it’s really really good to know these tips ❤thanks bruh 😊Love u 👍🏻
Hygiene is one of my number one priorities
I'm into this kind of videos ty Brett
For those of you out there trying to avoid those cheap and lame deodorants, you can try this deodorant I've been using.
It's called potassium alum stone (or tawas stone) and it has been working really well for me. It doesn't stop my from sweating but it helps a lot in getting rid of that nasty smelling body odour, best of all is that there's no smell from the deodorant so if you were to use a cologne, the scents won't mix.
personally i prefer to brush my tongue with my brush instead of using a scraper cause i use a hard bristle brush which does a better job imo
Everything here is seriously a top tier guide for young men - but please *don't spray cologne or any flamable liquid into your dryer* = that's just increasing the risks of a fire hazard 💀
- INSTEAD, when you fold your clothes and put them in your cupboard / drawer etc. then spray into that, and close it off 👌
Mostly good advice, but you need to be more cautious with the type and amount of products you use with artificial scents.
I'm seeing your views on smelling Good and I love it

Aluminum-based deoderants are directly linked to hairloss btw, such as that Arm & Hammer you suggested.

IF YOU TRY TO LOVE THEN YOU WILL NOTICE WHAT IS WRONG.
I have more oily skin and hair so need more upkeep than usual as far as shampooing goes, but overall it’s a good thing!
Shouldn't you apply conditioner only to the hair but not on the roots ? whats the sealing part that you mentioned with follicles ?
I stopped using Arm&Hammer. It's just aweful, gums up and never lasts. Tried old spice and axe and they were the same. Incredibly The one I found works surprisingly well is a $3 stick of Mitchum, which I've found lasts almost 2 days, and is a great for the crotch too.
I oil and shampoo my hair everyday..should i keep doing this or stop it?
Bro, that hair is majestic
Also to be clean you have to be healthy and that will keep you looking good as well so I have a whole routine for that as well haha
why am I even looking at this
Men don't need to be announcing their presence with colognes. A great smelling body wash offers a subtle hint of freshness.

maybe you sweat a lot or you didn't scrubbed or cleaned enough in your body parts.
I DISAGREE WITH THIS VIDEO.
It's a pretty good video especially for those who don't know where to start, but there are some points I just want to clarify because I believe some of the information here shouldn't be followed blindly.
Body:
Colognes
First of all, get something YOU like.
Mouth:
Toothpaste
Please buy something that you need.
Mouthwash
This item is not a necessary if you find brushing, flossing and scraping your tongue helps remove the bad breath. But if you do purchase this, remember to not rinse your mouth with water immediately after using mouthwash.
Other than that, follow whatever this guy says because brushing your teeth, flossing and scraping your tongue does helps reduce bad breath, and helps you remove plaque and prevent gingivitis.
Hair:
For those living in tropical climates, if you find yourself sticky and disgusting from all the sweat on your hair, please wash your hair.
Good points! Thanks bro
No problem!
I don't think your supposed to put conditioner in your scalp and also you should condition every day because its only the middle and ends of your hair.
Your video is bang on , i recommend you use fluoride free toothpaste,
Bro is majestic
could you make a video on an ideal night/morning routine
I love you man! Some of the tips I'm already doing, but some I can incorporate. One thing that I don't recommend is using cologne or perfume, it's because when you live in a place with high humidity like here in the Philippines the fragrance evaporates, now combine with your sweat smells nasty and may become overpowering and can cause headache. Anyway nice video as always...
Try applying the cologne onto your clothing and not directly into the skin
So for the cologne in the dryer trick, would it still work if I pull my clothes inside out? I have a few graphic band tees/hoodies that I wear occasionally, and I wanna know if it would still work. Probably a dumb question but I thought it’d be worth asking
Hey Brett great vid, the editing looks fire🔥
Thanks man, fantastic video ❤
Quick question, i work a job that is very physically demanding, should i still only shampoo every 3 days?
Bro loved your haircut. Any tips how to get one as I'm also rocking long hair currently?
you are the definition of "giga chad"
Ok thanks, I didn't even think about picking up other smells just by being in a room that hasn't been aired out. Aside from other items you listed. Again thanks
