It was raw and the lyrics are mostly nonsensical (not that it's a bad thing) but I have trouble making the argument that the eponymous album is better than "The Colour and the Shape." My favorite album is actually "There is Nothing Left to Lose."

Ahh man, I was at this concert it was my 1st one ,my mate I went with had his eye brows shaved off at a house party the week before he was so paranoid he kept a hat on for the gig. And when I was watching it I remembered a dude who was hammered looking for his shoes, and it was probably his on the stage !
Saw them first 2 tours. First album and colour and the shape. Got slaughtered in the pit first time…. Best day ever! This is the foo fighters I love most. What we needed back then.
Oh they would've. Actually on their final studio session in late January-early February 1994, Dave and Krist recorded several early versions of Foo Fighters songs, including one from The Colour And The Shape. Kurt apparently really liked what he heard once he came in (he was running VERY late)

Exhausted is a great song. Every show I saw in the '95 too '96 era it was their closer. Not on this one, though. (I see what happened now)
