@@ImFangzBro I wouldn't count on it. Alex swapping stances is not only due to the fact that he isn't a cocky showoff but also do to his build now. Stan having the same stance can be a dangerous sign as well when you think about it. It could show that he has yet to find anything wrong with his style yet or it could me he's honed it and perfected his own style to the point that he finds any other stance to be inferior to his own. That is not to say he hasn't improved it just means he has a working core style and simply built off of it. I still think Alex would come out on top but I do think it would be one close ass fight.
I can see the fight being extremely difficult and being something Alex insists on doing alone, either having the option to cheat and kick him in the groin, or struggle to maintain HP and SP and use the major iris, beating him would probably be extremely poetic for Alex
i know im a year later but there is a move unlocked at lvl12 called major iris that break stances and do 800 or so damage, maybe you need to that to beat the fluid stance from Stan

It's been 40 years since the day that flipped Alex's life on it's head, and despite all that, I don't see this as a fight with high stakes. My version of Alex didn't use trick kick, especially now. It isn't about winning, it's about Alex getting clarity to the most important day of his life. Alex is old, he lived his life, the only opinion that should matter is his own in this very moment. I cannot put into words how incredible Alex is as a character, relatable positively and negatively to many people, people who have lived an unfullfilling life, and people who grow and move on as a person with age.

What if Stan _could_ be beaten, through the one thing that is never pointless? If you're good enough friends with Joel, he'll give you an upgrade to the roll dodge move, which causes Alex to look more agile when he uses it, and also doesn't leave him off-balance, and if you use that as your opener against Stan, he'll respond with a throw... and not just miss completely, but actually get _countered,_ because you're smooth like velvet now. Friendship might not be able to work a physical miracle, but it can certainly give you the means to.

It'd be cool that at the start he would get fluid like the first fight, however it'd be more of a 50% chance to dodge instead of a 100% since Lucky has been training and gotten way better at hitting things, as well as not being so hot headed and rushing into the fight
It'd be better if Fluid worked like in the flashback but Full Force, which sets enemies off balance thus breaking their stances, was able to hit while fluid. It would show Alex's improvement and how he's fleshed out his repertoire of moves to deal with agile oponents
