OKC is becoming what they were 13 years ago. Hopefully they don't repeat that mistake and lose their young stars.
Presti only knows how to rebuild that’s the thing. His moves after that first finals appearance were a comedy of errors. This year he acquired Hayward who was awful and gave Dallas more cap space by taking the Bertans trade (literally strengthening the team who ended their series). We’ll see what happens from here…

I'm a Mavs fan.... OKC is scarier now than Harden, Durant, and WB... these guys are a team and that with their talent; they're a force and will be an awesome rivalry. Great season for them; def legit next year.
J Dub has become one of my favorite players to watch. It's good to know he has a health mindset as well.

Seriously though. Dort was pissing me off because he's so strong Luka couldn't get all the shots he wanted. Definitely the best defender on him this whole playoffs

With him being close to becoming an an all star level player, I was looking forward to seeing where his focus was after what was undoubtedly a disappointing series for him. I can honestly say I'm impressed too. If he and Chet can take that next step, the sky is the limit for them.

The difference between OKC and Dallas this year was just experience. The Thunder will be contenders for years to come.

OKC has a great young team. If they add no one they will be better next year. And they will likely add someone good.
I loved watching OKC all year. As a Wolves fan I thought they played Dallas much tougher than our team. Luka will be very hard to beat in the Finals. OKC is only going to get better.
Giddey provided nothing positive against Mavs and Dort shot 31% from the field those were the most glaring issues among others but they still put up a good fight
Giddy played like 15 min a game. Can't really single him out, but definitely not a good matchup for him
@@tylermckenzie7603 He was terrible in those minutes and was a starter all year then got benched in playoffs that is bad and Dort couldn’t hit anything against Mavs. There were other issues but if those two played better they would have had a chance to win
@@bkelly625 The only player on OKC who showed up was SGA. J Dub was below his regular season level, so was Chet and Dort was playing on Luka so to expect anything from him on offense is a foolish proposition

This next season it’s unlikely for them to be as fortunate as they were with their health dealing with almost zero injuries. Let’s see how OKC handles those situations. I’m a Mavs fan but Jdub is one of my favorite players.
On the flip side the Mavs had a staggering amount of injuries to all their best players besides Luka. Tim Hardaway Jr and Dwight Powell were the only players who didn’t get hurt this year….
Glad you learned how to throw lobs efficiently but its lame that it took till Game 6. Good luck next season setting up Chet for easy buckets

As a mavs fan, I'm glad he's holding his head up. They're way ahead of schedule, so losing to the future NBA champions (I'm calling it) is nothing to be ashamed about
He always sounds like a vet and coach’s son. I imagine he’s only going to keep growing.
I feel like Dallas, OKC, and Minnesota (maybe SA) will be fighting for the West crown for the next 5-6 years. Theyre all pretty young with a lot of talent and depth
OKC lost in 6 but were incredibly close to winning it all. In 6th game I felt like OKC solved Dallas but with Derrick Jones being so key that game, it was too little too late. There is no shame in it though, incredible team. Bound to success.

Okc is a great team but the reason they ended one seed was because they were the healthiest team this year.

The OKC vs Dallas rivalry is going to give this league a ton of great content over the next couple of years. Both teams are young and incredibly talented.
There’s a Okc vs wolves rivalry, but there is no Mavs rivalry. Mavs are the older brothers right now, until we see otherwise.

Yall are being too literal with the term rival lol. I'm speaking from the stand point they are only separated by a short drive on I-35. Oklahoma always had a good Mavs fanbase even before the Hornets came to OKC. With both teams young and mostly under contract, the next few years should be fun. They are a very young and inexperienced team. I remember seeing some stat that said Lebron had more playoff points than those guys had career points combined. That’s insane. But they got some real good experience this year. I think their team has much better potential than this current Dallas team if they stay together and healthy. Give them another two years and I think they will be one of if not the scariest team in the West.

Nah this is honesty. Especially games 5 & 6. Thunder just couldn’t hit their open 3’s. Mavs did a great job at packing the paint and stopped a lot of drive and kicks. Mavs defense is awesome. It also speaks to just how good Shai is around the free throw line. Okc/Dallas is going to be so fun to watch the next 5 years
OKC is going to be strong for years to come. They got picks from half the league 😅

We need size, not necessarily 7 footers but legit 6’8-6’11 Physical Players who can still stretch the floor even just a tad better than a Josh giddey… and we will be problematic. J-Will is nice but he’s a 4 and should be treated as such. Chet needs a backup at center and we need a true 4 to play either in front of or behind J-Will & J-Dub goes to the 3
I don’t know if thunder wins it but it would have been a lot closer without outlier shooting from djj and pj. They went back to brick everything in the min series and the finals.

The Mavs beat okc where and Luka and kyrie didn’t play well. Now imagine where Luka and kyrie played how they did against Minnesota, series would have been over at least a game sooner, against both okc and clippers

Typical RSeason 1st seed thats not as good but they play hard and loose with Reg Season defense, pressure and inconsistency from other teams. It happened before (Goberts Jazz for example) and it would happen again.

The real reason is Shai was out the by himself it was Shai vs the mavs his team didn’t help him at all lol
maybe because Dallas did a good job defending everyone. Shai will always get his free throw points as a top tier merchant but taking away everyone else is a strategy known to everyone for years.
