Jokic does not waste energy jumping. 280 lbs and runs the floor better than anyone. Watch AD or whoever, they are sucking wind and needing a break from trying to run with Jokic. Most exciting player in the game for people with a brain. I heard some ex-player on TV talking about Jokic is boring because he's not flying thru the air and slamming it home.

    • @LaurentCourtines

There are two things going against Jokic 1. Bias - he doesn't LOOK like a top player. 2. He's from Serbia. He doesn't fit into what our pundits expect and while there are some pundits who sing his praises, the narrative of what we SEE has been set. He doesn't look like Dr J, Magic, or Jordan. So we apply our biases visually. So he'll never get the plaudits he deserves.

In america you are supposed to want to be famous just as much as you love basketball, being from another country he probably finds it hard to grasp why americans are so weird, why do they worship people who play basketball. If he didn't care he wouldnt have transformed his body, he plays almost the entire game at altitude.

If Jokic didn't play in high altitude Denver his team could be the #1 seed every year because playing in Denver could easily wear itself out in an 82 game season. It sheds new light on how Wemby dominated him in Denver in a must-win game at the end of the season. The Spurs won with three starters out, so their starters were extra fresh to come from way behind to win the game. Two dominating big men with one fresh and the other not.

I'm getting a much greater appreciation for this 3 time MVP. Saw 10 minutes of his passing highlights last night. He likely has a better shooting percentage than MJ with more rebounds and more assists. Maybe he has a higher scoring average, too despite all the passes? Since he wears out his defender, that makes him a better fourth quarter defended, too. Is the joke on us? Is the Joker the GOAT? In my opinion great passing is the most lethal part of an offense since no one is faster than the ball. That alone makes the best passer the best scoring threat in the game. It's like having four arms and being two places at once. How can you block a player's shot when he has four arms?

Brother, look at his defensive stats, he is top 5 in the league in deflections and his team is much better on D when he plays. He doesn't go for a lot of blocks at the rim because he is too important on offense to get in foul trouble. And if you put a 90's center on him, Jokic would take him out to the 3 point line and feed his teammates for easy baskets at the rim all day. You think you're the first person to have this idea? "Lmao just put a real center on him". Jokic has a skillset that 90s centers have never seen. He's dropping a 30 point triple double every time, just like he does against every single defense that's ever been thrown at him.
