Owl The Polyglot I am not sure what lexicon you are using but I appreciate your concern for accuracy in language. In Liddell Scott peri - apsis is a combination of two greek words, peri suggesting being around or near but apsis meaning loop or net. I did not see shield. There is trouble describing anything as having a "bottom" in space and nearest would be better.
